It's a really hard series to break in to aswell. Even with the recent- ish remasters the games are very dated and there's a number of weird side games with important plot points.
I've tried a couple of times to enjoy play them but just can't enjoy them
I didn't like the Nioh alpha a few years back either, however after some strong recommendations from friends I picked it up a while back and absolutely loved it. Went on to be one of my favourites on the PS4 to date.

I'd be lying to say I cared about a company's financial report looks. Same as everyone I'm going to look out for my own best interests. I was all to delighted to play Mutant Year Zero, Forza Horizon 4, Outer Wilds & Gears 5 through game pass. I saved a fair chunk of change that way. In the grand scheme of things though that wont last.

What kind of logic?
Pal you need only look at Microsoft's stance on first party games. They clearly sway towards games as a service with titles heavily influenced by a microtransaction economy. I'm not at all interested in those kinds of practices. So if having to buy a game at full price at launch means I can avoid those pitfalls instead of a producer/developer trying to maintain subscriptions, then I am happy to continue that way.
I'm okay with this. Making high budget AAA games and releasing them day 1 on a streaming service can not be feasible. With the exception of Gears 5 and now Outer Worlds, Microsoft's first party games were terrible and their quality almost reflected a game launching on a streaming service. They'll surely revert back to this once the uptake rockets.
I just can't see studios putting in the effort if their game is going to be undervalued

I played it for a little while today and it has a great system and so much potential but I got a bug in my game I can't resolve right now
People are allowed to hate things! I for one can absolutely see why this game doesn't appeal to everyone.
However! People are also entitled to enjoy things and Death Stranding is still reviewing extremely well and there are many people still really looking forward to playing it. Myself included. Just because it wasn't suited to the minority of reviewers should the rest of us have to keep listening to others berate the game and call it a flop or failure ? Nope
There's a serious amount of advertising out there in regards Death Stranding and despite the few bad reviews is actually getting spectacular critical reception. Tag on Kojimas name and the game can still do really well for itself
The announcement of this game earlier in the year was the final straw for me and I built a PC. I played a good bit of Planet Zoo in the beta and can't wait to get on tonight. I couldn't see it ever working on consoles though. I loved Jurassic World Evolution on the PS4 but having played Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo since, I can see how toned back JWE was.

This whole scenario is bizzare! Death Stranding got a lot more 10 out 10 scores than it did negative ones but people are clinging to the few low scores
Forza Horizon 3 and 4 are excellent games but DriveClub has been my favourite racer this gen. In what's admittedly not a genre I'm big into in fairness, but the inclusion of bikes got me and I prefer the snappier race to next race format than driving around an open map to the next event.
I'm amazed to still see rocksmith get regular updates
I adore DriveClub and I've been playing It a lot the last couple months. I even just got Platinum in both DriveClub and DriveClub bikes this week. But the multiplayer in both is absolutely baron. There's no matches on either to play online. You need to arrange online meet ups

Do you know what? I'm actually more interested after this. Simple fact is I have no intentions of buying a Skarlett because I've lost any faith in Microsoft and I don't care about their future consoles because I'm not buying one. However I do still have an Xbox One so if they announce something decent for that then I can at least look forward to it.
...as if it isn't just going to be DLC announcements for their current list of average games and Game Pass...
