Anyways back to my point, it's quite obvious that Gears won't come out this year cuz why would they want to compare with Halo: Reach??? Gears of War 3 for next year please!!! =)
If this is what I have to look forward to on my PS3 then it's gonna be a sad year for my black shiny player. I mean all I'm looking forward to is FFXIII, Bad Company 2 and maybe Heavy Rain. Everything else I want is coming to my 360. Oh and Dead Rising...just to even things up a little. But this is only my opinion as a casual gamer.
I love thy, but it's quite obvious it's an excuse for the NPD numbers. Suck it up and do something to improve your sales numbers!!! Same goes for MicroSoft as they do this all the time as well!

Anybody that doesn't acknowledge that HALO:Reach will be 2010 biggest release is a fool!! hat it or not, HALO is viewed as King by the Mass Market and MS will spend the marketing money to make sure they know it.
And don't give me that, God of War garbage! god of War will turn out to be a GREAT game but it is no Halo. It does not have the mass market appeal as it is a slasher and it is not Multiplayer!!! It is multiplayer after all that makes Halo....Halo to the mass market.
I don't think we can really honestly predict till after Natal is released. Natal has a lot of Mass market buzz and if MS capitalizes on this then it's Gameover. If Natal fails then Sony wins!

Considering that MS is ahead over 8 million, a one million gain isn't really enough for Sony to catch up. A good gain, Yes, but just not enough quite yet.

I often question the intelligence of the gaming media. It's quite OBVIOUS thet the 360 will be getting a Redesign this winter when the 360 Relaunches with Natal.
MS has already stated that it will be treated as a launch of a new console with as much money spent on marketing as before. And WHY in the world would they NOT redisgn it for that! They want the market to see it as a new console (even thou it's not) and that screams redesign.

I must say once Halo 2 servers are closed, it will be sorely missed!!! I don't believe any other disk has ever played in any of my systems as much as Halo 2 did!!! Oh, what GREAT memories!!
I'm thinking that Sony's wand is going to fail. Nit for lack of being great because I personally think it will be the best experience of the 3. I think it will fail due to the lack of "Hype" and the lack of market.
Even though I think the Natal won't deliver what they promise, MS and Natal are demolishing Sony with the Hype machine as they have EVERYONE talking about it. Sony's wand is beating treated as just another periphel by the media and Sony themselves.

I don't think we'll know who wins till after this holiday season. MS is creating great Buzz with the Natal project and nobody knows how the mass market will react to it. I mean, MS is pretty much putting all there fortunes behind it this holiday season with a new "Launch" with as much marketing budget as the original launch.
And even though I think I'm going to prefer Sony's wand myself, there is no buzz behind the thing so it's looking like a total flop for them. ...
You must not be a sportsfan then. I've seen tons on them including during last weeks NFC confernce championship game that broke viewership records. Mass Effect 2 was also the main sponsor of a big event I seen on tv lately, (can't remember what is was tho, LOL) and it surprised the heck out of me! I must say, I've seen the commercial over 25 times already....True Story!
Besides the big announcements, I'd say PAX East is a more enjoyable experience for Gaming fans. Hopefully, E3 goes back to the old format for everyone to enjoy.
