In terms of consoles, it's clear that the PS4 is the master race.

I love my PS4, I've been off from work all week and have pretty much used it 12-14hrs a day.
My only complaint is that the DS4 battery doesn't last nearly as long as the DS3. I also wish I could turn off the light, not just to save power but because at night it reflects off my TV.
Minor complaints aside, I finally feel excited to game again. I was soooooo tired of my PS3/360, they bored me (with the exception of The Last of US)
The percentage of 1 Star amazon reviews complaining about broken hardware is just as much for xone as it was for PS4 and the media has ignored it, but every top article on N4g was about PS4 hardware failures, many using Amazon as proof and many were from the biggest gaming sites.
Even my local news talked about PS4 hardware troubles, no one says anything about xone. Even worse, it seems to be a very identifiable issue with disc drives and green screen of death.
yeah, it very much is if your gaming late and your couch is too far for headphone cords (like me) or if you want to game while the wife/gf watches TV on on the laptop beside you.
It's really an awesome feature that nobody is talking about.

It was very easy for me, I never considered xone when I learned PS4 has more power and is $100 cheaper.
I stream most of my TV and browsing the internet will always be better on computers/tabs. Especially considering that I often comment on sites and IE Xone has no flash so the multimedia functions are worthless to me.
Mutliplats are the best games imo and the games will always be better on PS4 so it was a no brainer for me.
Another person prefers the PS4 controller.
I haven't tried the xone controller yet so I'll reserve my opinion but so far my PS4 controller is the best I've ever experienced.
PS4 also alows you to send all game audio through the controller headphone port.
The best launch games on both systems are BF4, ACBF, and NBA 2K14 imo.
Why aren't the media covering the xone failure rates.
Amazon has the exact same percentage of 1 Star review all with the same disc drive problem. When PS4 had problems even my local news network talked about it, every story on N4G was about it, and major sites were talking about it.
Only individual users seems to write up about the xone problems. Where's the estimated failure rates, the response from MS, etc.
The average gamer is in their 30s, nudity should offend them.
Just slap a warning and parental controls on it.

Well MS had the media in its pocket, it's a much larger company than Sony and has a lot more weight to throw around.
But this gen, it seems Sony has the gamers.
On Amazon there's currently 246 5 star reviews and 160 one star reviews with people saying the disc drive is broken and cant read discs, makes scratching sounds, or rejects discs.
Although it looks like roughly 50% failure rates I doubt xone hardware failures exceed the norm 5% for consumer electronics but it seems to be "just as bad" as PS4.

don't care about the cable TV connect, streaming TV is the future anyways, and browsing the internet on a computer/tab will always be vastly superior to doing it on TV.
In terms of games, the vast majority of the best games released throughout the gen tend to be multiplats and PS4s multiplats look and run better. I love Halo, I love LOU, and Uncharted but 99% of my favourite games are multiplatform.
So services aside,PS4 win...
Well if devs build directly to steam machine specs then you may get that same performance specialization advantage offered by consoles.
