Why all games have to be dumbed down for casual gamers?Atfirst ME was dumbed down to a tps.But the end product was largely similar to the previous one.In case of DA2 pc,all things are dumbed down and its apparent that it was a port caught in the middle.
The missing high res texture pack proves that pc version was just an afterthought.I am a big fan of Bioware but never was i so disappointed with them.An epic turned into a good game. The bioware i knew always made good games.
Its not much different on pc.Zooming is minimal.Playing it in nightmare.I'm not saying its bad.Its good but disappointing when compared to the first one.Bioware clearly did a rush job here.
Death of one of the few great crpg developers.Dragon age became dragon effect to make it marketable to consoles.Rpg turned into a silly button mashing. The main selling point of Origins-epicness,is lost.Never was i so disappointed by a Bioware game.
One and a half year is not good time to make epics, its for average games and sadly DA2 is just that.Bioware has already lost the battle in rpg to Bethesda and CD Projekt Red even before the release of their games.
Mass effect has damaged the Dragon age.Bioware wanted to make DA more mainstreamed and thus alienated the hardcore rpg gamers.DA2 is going to be bashed by every rpg loving reviewer, but it will score 9 and more from casual gamers.
Gaming media is adding fuel to the fire. Before media breakout, maybe atbest 1% people knew of the leak. Now whole world knows that. They did the same to crysis 2.Even this so called media added screenshots from a leaked game.Gaming media is meant for good of gaming, not the other way around.
New vegas was a better rpg than fallout 3.It got story with depth and bigger things at stake unlike the dad seeker mission of Fallout 3.Less bugs would have been welcomed. But its Obsidian who got the best writing department but the worst quality assurance.
Thq is upping their game.First darksiders, now homefront and next will be Saint's row 3.Three games with huge potential that can turn the game for
thq.
No one likes to play real racing bcoz that will be damn hard.We just need better AI,good multiplayer, many game modes, realistic damage and environments.
That's true for almost all Bethesda games.Zenimax is a great publisher who encourages modders.I wish other big pubs were like it.
As pachy is always wrong. It has to be the reverse.CoD and free content do not go together.
In pc tactical view is given along with action rpg-esque gameplay. In consoles its just an action rpg. This type of games with so many hotkeys are
better on pc.The proof is DAO which was great on pc but no so great on consoles.
That man is a genius and good talker.
IMO story and gameplay are must.Graphics is optional but if good then that's a plus.
That is some serious sidequesting. If sidequests are like this,i wonder how the main quest will be.CD projekt red got an epic in its hands.
The real fps has arrived.
My fingers are crossed for Homefront, rage and BF3.Those three can change the fps landscape.
While KZ3 refined the fps formula,Bulletstorm just gave us a refreshing change in fps.Is bulletstorm fun?Hell yeah.Is Kz3 fun?Hell yeah.I don't know why people have to bitch about scores in reviews. The thing that matters is whether you like it or not.A 10/10 game does not implies that you're gonna love it automatically.
You must have only run through the main campaign once. The origin stories for different races are different.I always try to get every single side quest and every single loot while playing rpg.Morrowind and Oblivion were great rpgs but they tooks huge time because moving was slow and they autogenerate terrains. And if you try to finish the main quest in Fallout 3,it can be done under 20hours.
How is DAO linear?Where you can forge alliance with elves or werewolves or both depending on yo...
I will not argue about Skyrim or witcher 2.But Kz3 does not hold a penny against DAO.Even its not the best killzone game.Skyrim and witcher are action rpgs,DAO is classical rpg and by far the best of its genre this gen.
And you're saying its not an rpg?I really wanna hear what should be called an rpg?
Dragon age was extremely short???Whoa! That's must be the best joke i have heard in a long time. From when 60-80 hours become extremely short.
Knowing edge,i think DA2 score is just about right as it brings nothing new to the table of rpg genre and scoring it higher may result in awkwardness later in the year when witcher 2 and skyrim are aiming for creating a new definition of rpg.
Shocked by the homefront.Maybe its just too much similar to CoD with 5 hour campaign.
Yakuza looks good and 7 from edge is pretty awesome for its genre.
