There is no need of getting the BFG Edition if you have this version. Have you all seen the edition Id is putting out? I don't see that much of a graphical difference from the last doom 3. I would rather get the sikkmod which cost nothing then pay 30 bucks for 7 new levels and lesser graphics. Come on id software, being outdone by your fans.
I think Sony is starting to understand saying, why did we buy up all these first parties? We have great exclusives but sales doesn't do good as expected. Maintaining all of theses first parties is getting expensive. We compete with ourselves with are own exclusives. We give the core gamers what they wan't, free online gaming. Yet are competitor makes millions off of they're own service.

You also have to realize that these companies loose money with every new product they come out with. Nintendo looses money on every 3DS. Companies also have to make sales, PSVita is not selling that well. It makes me wonder if Sony will have to change some of the parts ( making it weaker) in the PS4? That rumored southern island AMD GPU could change to something else due to cost. But I hope not, companies need competition to make themselves innovate better.
Exclusive launch title? Well, we all know that John Carmack favors the 360. So it wouldn't be surprising if he launches it for the Xbox 8, 720,whatever. Rumors of having a pc running DX11 game and porting it to the next Xbox with no problems is tempting.

I agree, Vanquish should be on the list instead of Darksiders in my option. Alan Wake, I believe is the best out the list. The story is that good and graphics is up to par.
So does that mean the 360 version will run at 30 fps because they can't get it to run at 60 fps on the PS3? I really think the title is misleading as usual. Speaking of 3d it will run at 30 fps on consoles, I presume without 3D it will run at 60fps, in which most ppl probably won't be playing in 3D anyway. The Xbox version of Doom 3 runs at 30 fps, you mean to tell me that the 360 which is 10 times more powerful and the PS3 can't run it at a higher frame rate?

Indeed, that's the thing. Sony having all these companies could end up being a double edge sword. Sony surely loves they're consumers with all these exclusives. But how are they selling, are ppl like you and me buying them? Are they using the ps3 as a media hub? It's like giving good things to your spouse but they don't take heed to it.

I agree, this game has been 30fps for years. I didn't see why they at least couldn't have it at 720p, better textures back then? Perhaps now that they have more talent, coding is done more effectively . Also, what makes this a COD ripoff? Because of the grenade notification in multiplayer. If you ask me COD should be ripping off Ranbow Six. You have a shield in halo for protection, COD you have vest and run out in the open and get hit with 50cals.

Can you blame them, they don't get any love in Japan ( sales) . So they think it wise to just not have any showcases for TGS. My opinion, I think they shouldn't just give up just because they're not "popular". Be that guy from assassins creed that is just that persistent where you have no choice but to hear his dreadful music, and some time may even like it.

I think some people use it to escape from the harsh realities of life. Some game for competition, especially with friends. Some game because they don't have girl/boyfriends, some game to get away from spouses for a while. But when ppl would rather play a game then eat or going to sleep, then you have a problem. Or rather pay for a game then paying a bill, putting it before family, your beliefs.

We all know that graphics doesn't make a console. Did not Nintendo prove this with the wii? With the wii u looking on par or slightly better then 360 or ps3, it is enough to attract gamers. Hardcore and casual alike. People talk about how well uncharted, gears, and god of war look. Why is it bad for the wii u to look like that? Nintendo does this to save money and make profits more quickly, making the hardware cheap, I assume the wii u will be $349.
