I am glad you did your research on this, Double precision Is a type of floating-point number that has more precision (that is, more digits to the right of the decimal point) than a single-precision number. The term double precision is something of a misnomer because the precision is not really double. The word double derives from the fact that a double-precision number uses twice as many bits as a regular floating-point number. For example, if a single-precision number requires 32 bits, its d...

Xbox 720 has four move engines itself which allows for fast direct memory access to take place.

Their true purpose is to take workloads off of the rest of the system while yielding positive results at low cost.AKA "Secret Sauce"

The four move engines have abilities such as: from main RAM or from ESRAM, to main RAM or to ESRAM, from linear or tiled memory format, to linear or tiled memory format, from a sub-rectangle of a texture, to a sub-rectangl...

Microsoft doesn't need to rush, they said they will announce " something" at E3. People will just have to wait. The consoles are probably already in production.

Pretty good looking, seeing as that they are not using IDs Tech 5 engine.

To all, this is what Microsoft has been up to:"MOVE ENGINES" or "secret sauce"Xbox 720 apparently has four move engines itself which allows for fast direct memory access to take place.

I think a lot of people may not even look in Kojima's direction if Mr Hayter is not the voice of Snake. Same with the new SplinterCell, Michael Ironside will no longer do the voice of Sam Fisher. The bad part about this is they never even asked David Hayter about doing the part. It's just not the same having voices your accustom to and then changing. I may not get this or Splintercell :( What's next, changing the voice of Master Chief?

Yeah if they are to compete with steam I am sure they will sell it the same price, 360's is the same way, expensive. Another thing, if they are making the PS4 " upgradable how much will they sell the CPU/GPU combination ? I don't see this happening whereas most console gamers don't have a clue about replacing the innards of a computer. Most people may end up breaking the thing and voiding the warranty :)

I agree, and it's suppose to install the games while playing. So, if you have too many games on the HDD, just delete one of them . This while improve on performance.

Oh how did this turn out to be a bash article if it made number one on the list? Yes it did worst then its predecessors, regardless it's NUMBER 1 on the charts.Again as many have said, this is only the UK sales. This is a bash article to get lame hits and to get fanbums riled up. If I wanted to get nasty I could say that Microsoft has 20 games on the UK charts, while Sony's PS3 has half that.. But who really cares, oh you guys do:( A 360 article at that, yet more Sony people in hear ...

A new shinobi game would crush Gaiden and MG: Rising, The original ninja game has been gone too long , I would also like a Shenmue full remake. Not that HD crap.. I remember going to the arcades and playing a game within a game. Good Ryo memories:)

I will tell you this, if it wasn't for the cell processors taking some of the load off the RSX GPU the graphics wouldn't have looked that good. Overheating would have possibly happened more. Remember the 360 has the better GPU, in which most of the work load was from the GPU alone. The PS3 was suppose to be a "360 with an cell processor." So don't make it like Nvidia was the only reason why games like Last Of Us exist. Have a nice day..

Apparently this guy just realized that the rumored specs of the next Xbox has 8 GBs of DRAM and 32MBs ESRAM. Similar way they had the Xenos with the GPU proper, manufactured by TSMC and a 10 MB eDRAM daughter- die. Thanks to the daughter die, the Xenos could do 4× FSAA, z-buffering, and upscaling.

The only thing that gets me is these move engines, can they really improve latency that much?

Sony may have a problem with those Move engines and ESRAM buffer. They are blazing fast blitters that give much faster read/write access to data, even if the RAM is slower. It's also cheaper and will undercut Sony in price. Evenso, we don't know how they will perform on the battlefield being on paper and all. Also this is still a rumor, an one year old rumor.
