Such BS. CC fraud And erroneous payments happen all the time. Now when anyone has money taken they'll blame the PSN? Makes no sense.

Most people I know have had some sort of unauthorised payments out of an account long before this. It happens.

Haha classy. Only an idiot would seriously ditch a console over something like this.

Would you sell your house if it got burgled? Makes about as much sense.

Mostly this has been a great opportunity for the media and fans of competing products to spread FUD and sensationalise.

LOL did anyone read past the headline?

The chances of this costing Sony $24b? Minimal. That's A) the worst case scenario. B) the worst case scenario IF all our CC details have been stolen.

Considering the security codes are likely not stored on the system at all and we have no idea if they've successfully taken *any* CC details it's not that worrying.

At least the BBC didn’t make a mess of this coverage.. The average PSN user does need to be a bit cautious.

Seriously though not the end of the world.

DD is the future, even if it also works through physical retail locations (mind-bending yeah, but imagine your future console comes with a card you can take into stores and fill it with games instantly - potentially how the industry will get around the bandwidth issue in some areas).. Just because there's been a temporary problem for one provider doesn't really mean anything.

Think of Steam and the iOS app store.. How could anyone not see that DD is likely to replace ...

Yeah that's not true though. It's debatable who the "real anon" would be at all. We've seen what some people under that banner are capable of before, and this isn't it. They do not agree about this cause so the "full force" shows just a tiny fraction of what they as a group are capable of. That's not debatable if people just do a little research.

Within the group anyone could bring something to the table. They're a collective with n...

Anonymous isn't a single organised group. This seemingly useless bunch within anon likely has nothing to do with the anons who champion other causes. This probably works in their favour now as nobody can tell how seriously to take them at any said moment. The moniker can mean anything from a few script kids and console fanboys to angry political hacktivists with serious blackhat experience who can affect corporations and politics by releasing info.

The diversity is kind o...

I doubt there'll be 8GB in the consoles but RAM is hardly one of the prime overheating components, and its getting very cheap. Much cheaper than some of the crazy R&D sucking stuff they put in the PS3 initially.

A higher end GPU as is inevitable in PCs will allow for fancier graphics and potentially physics etc but more easily addressable RAM means devs will have a much easier time supporting multiple platforms and hitting the ground running with potentially much more...

If you're talking future-proofing then yeah 8GB would be great. Just because nothing uses that much yet, it could massively reduce load times and allow for more complex games. If they were to release another "10 year" console with 4 gb, half way through its lifespan the average pc will be showing the consoles up again.

Apple are becoming a major player but not a particularly threatening one as they mostly target a different subset of the market. Personally I doubt they're going after the big boys currently.. They're playing a different game entirely. (though there is some overlap)

The overpriced apple jokes may (arguably) make some sense when applied to Macs.. Not so much when you're talking about the iPod touch..

At time of release the Wiis controls werent considered primitive.. I actually think Move is doing very well for how long its been on the market as an optional extra. Between KZ3 and RE5 for hardcore and Start The Party and all the usual casual stuff its got a very broad line-up.

It still needs more that takes advantage of its own strengths though to show how its different to the competitors.

Kind of the problem with being anonymous. It could be absolutely anyone.

How does isometric viewpoint in any way make you think its going to be like Diablo? There are hundreds if games with the exact same sort of view. Many of them slow moving adventures and rpgs. Admittedly most are pretty old now, predating diablo but the expectation seems unrealistic.

I'm not saying this is a good game though. :)

I love to combine my passions for autoerotic asphyxiation and gaming!

Seriously.. if you can't close the "hideout" for lack of air it's pretty dumb.

It needs defaced photos on one of the inside walls to become "feast your eyes upon the ultimate serial killer gaming hideout"

Its odd how he's so sure "it's a fact" that the 360 version is superior when so many sites dedicated to comparing the differences were less than sure about it. He goes on about those "facts" while saying reviews are based on opinions. Hmm.

I was under the impression there was no clear "winner" between the two. And of course the pc version is a lot (not just a bit) prettier.

IGN shouldnt be replying to comments like this r...

Maybe they agreed with those attacks? It's not as if they're similar circumstances at all.

Actually now I think more about it this stuff could more likely help anon.. I mean if all their 'members' flail around in subgroups with different goals it works as a smokescreen for the people who do the big jobs.

It’s a pretty interesting social group. Its hard not to agree with *some* of the things they do occasionally, but a lot of the time i really don't. This being one of them.

This never lasts long fortunately.

This whole issue must have the higher-ups in Anon a bit pissed off.. On one hand they can't assert any sort of leadership/hierarchy so they can't be legally liable or branded as a criminal organisation.. But by the same token, the movers and shakers can't tell any other random kid who wants to use the anon moniker to stop running riot and undermining everything *some* people there have worked for and stood up against.

Silly list. Their complaints about Portal 2 and LA Noire are particularly off kilter.. I mean, how is LA Noire's hype any different than any other high profile R* game? Don't they always tend to deliver recently? Likewise with Valve. And Blizzard.

As for Duke, its always going to be a niche title, I'm sure however it scores it's going to be amazing to some people and hopeless to others.

ST:TOR is a safe bet too. It's the individual's ...
