This is why the U.S. doesnt get a lot of the good games that Japan sees. The American way of thinking only sees things as flops or blockbusters.
If every 360 owner in Japan bought 2 copies of Gears 2 it would be hailed as a flop.

For as powerful as some argue the PS3 is, you'd think it would at least have the versatility of matching the 360 in multiplatform games. Instead we have multiplatform games using the 360 as lead and the PS3 struggles, horribly in some cases, just to match the 360 version.

Which isn't all that surprising to me, but I still thought I would see a handful. I've played MGS4 3 different times all the way through. The last time through I skipped all the cutscenes and what not and finally realized why MGS4 just wasn't GOTY material, and I think a lot of these publications see it the same way. The PSN is made up of just as many, if not more racists. The difference is no one uses a mic for games on the PSN. Games like MGO, certain game types in COD 4/WaW and even LBP. If thats the way you like it, then simply yank the headset and/or turn off voice chat.

Extremely weak install base, with frustrating, non versatile architecture makes the PS3 an extremely unattractive platform to develop for. Especially when you are talking about something exclusive.
