Actually I agree that sales numbers are interesting to look at. As well as seeing trends for specific consoles. It's also a good indication of a console's success. And it's also to see what's hot or what's not.
Hey, it's not like you cant do both anyway. You can still play games, and look at sales numbers.

Yes the games matter. But you know what? Other features matter too IMO. Why else would Xbox360 owners rave about Xbox Live if they could just get a PS3 and play for free? Well because Xbox360 owners just love the features, don't mind paying for it, and is the sole reason they choose xbox over playstation.
While others will buy a PS3 for it's blu-ray capabilities and other media functions.

You know what, I agree. The price of the 360 is really dropping down, and it still has a bunch of great games worth picking up.
If PS3 owners truely don't want a 360, then just forget about the 360 games and just look foward to the PS3 line up instead.

Talk about spinning stuff. Carmack didn't say the GPU is "all around better." Infact he admits that the PS3 theoretically has more peek power than the 360. But trying to extract that power is the pain. He also said he prefer's working with the 360 because of the dev kits/tools.

I also tried the demo, and thought the gameplay was over done. It seemed like it tries to be a fighting game, then try to be a boxing game too. It's weird and hard to explain.
But definitely disappointing. I was hoping this to be the next super punch out or something.

Yeah the Euphoria engine was great, it just wasn't fully optimized for 360 or PS3.

But one thing the interviewee is forgetting, is that multiplatform developers always aim for them to be EQUAL from the beginning of development anyway.

This is great for owners who don't have a blu-ray player. And great for people who absolutely hate blu-ray just becaues it's associated with Sony.
But it's still Blu-Ray for me.
I can just imagine everything looks just like CGI. That's the kind of gameplay I want. MGS4 was a good step foward in that sense. It still looks like a video game, but the transition from some of the cutscenes directly into gameplay was awesome.
Just imagine Final Fantasy 15 or something, where the pure hardcore CGI scenes are all created by the PS4, and then transitions directly into gameplay.
