Unforunately the parents and media are correct. Video games makes people bad.
I have something to confess. I've been playing Super Mario Brothers when I was a kid and now I'm seriously demented.
I go outside, and jump on giant koombas. I know, they didn't even do anything to me! But I just have to jump on their heads and get a +1 above my head. I know, it's sick.
Then I would go out and travel to other places going through a giant green sewage pipe. Ahhh...
Because it's easier to blame Video Games.
When they blame it on Alcohol or Drugs, there's too much work put into stopping it. So they start blaming video games and make themselves feel like they've made a difference for their kids.
It takes a specific kind of humor to like dead rising. I for one loved it.
I wonder what do you think about Banjo Kazooie.
If LBP was a 360 exclusive game, I'm sure we'll hear it's the most innovative AAA title ever created.
The Wii 2 is going to revolutionize the industry, with WiiMusic 2.
You heard it here first!
Yeah, thank you.
Honda sells millions of Civics to consumers. Does that mean it won over the Ferrari? No.
Different demographic like you said. So that's why it's annoying why people keep comparing the Wii to the 360/PS3.
There's a split between hardcore gamers and casual gamers. 15 million PS3s and 20 million 360's vs 30 million Wii's.
35 million gamers worldwide still want Gears of Wars, Resistances, God of Wars, Fables, Alan Wakes, Heavy Rains, etc. etc. etc.
Nintendo is just really luck this generation making a game cube with motion controls.
"right now "RAGE" is a myth, and carmak already said 360's hardware is more favorable."
Oh wow, now RAGE is a myth!?!? How convenient! So does that make Alan Wake and Halo Wars a myth too?
Food for thought, Carmack (not carmak) also said the PS3 theoretically has more "Peek Power." Fancy that.
If you're going to quote him, quote everything he says.
Yeah I cant imagine what kinds of games we'd already be seeing if the 360 had a standard HDD and HD-DVD drive for its games.
The console "wars" would have been over before the PS3 even launched.
Having 300,000 compressed dialogue audio clips isn't nothing to gloat about.
But I'm getting Fable 2 anyway, that game seriously looks like it's going to drain my life more than Oblivion did. lol
Like the above poster said, there is some truth to your statement. But this generation seriously cannot be compared to the last generation. There's too many other factors involving everything.
For one, the 360 has great graphics, a huge library, and an online service that most tout as the greatest online gaming service available. But the 360 is now hindered by it's hardware, in terms of no standard HDD in all SKUs, and of the DVD9.
So you say that the great games of ...
"let’s go back to watching those fanboys verbally abuse each other"
That's why I came here to the comments section.
"Gaming while for us, is a hobby and even a life style; for publishers and developers it's just business."
That says it all really.
Who knows, maybe even in one or two years time, some new system could come up that completely wipes out the Playstation, Wii, and 360? Maybe this new system will have some crazy innovation, at a cheap price, but have twice the power of a 360?
And if that system ever becomes successful, developers will go to that ...
I don't know man, Killzone 2 still looks better. No fanboyism here, just my opinion.
Although I'm still going to get this game, one I've been looking foward to since FEAR
COD4 is the true game of the year 2007. Why? Because it didn't matter if it was 360 or PS3, everybody agrees. That game rocks.
Yes you are. Because everything related to Sony, you hate. I understand that you can hate rabid PS3 fanboys because some of them annoy me too. But the sheer fact you said you don't see any 360 fanboy, is ridiculous. There's plenty of them everywhere and most of them are stuck in the Open zone for a reason.
And just because you own both consoles, does not make you any less of a 360 fanboy.
And I'm not a Kid, I'm 23 years old. How old are you huh?
So what I'm getting from your comment, is that it's ok for him to bully the kid if he didn't have a condition.
Personally, if some 19 year old jack@ss steals my nephew's PSP, I'm kickin his @ss.
Yeah but my point is that a lot of people don't even read what you say. But they'll click disagree anyway. I just completely ignore the whole system. Bubbles are more important, because that really reflects if people like what you say or not.
Common sense usually is something obvious. It's usually something most normal people should see.
The problem is, common sense isn't so common.
This site infested by rabid fanboys don't use common sense to the extreme. And most of them don't use common sense because they choose not to.
An example, Microsoft launched 1 year ahead of the PS3 and Wii. With no competition, only the last generation machines. They sold only X amount of consoles.
PS...
Well it's the japanese market. They have just very different tastes in video games.
