Did he mean "Scare the piss OUT of you?" Cause the title just says "Scares the piss of you"

Engrish folks. Engrish.

I must not be reading correctly. But they are talking about the 40gb Limited Bundle Correct?

Not the normal 80gb/MGS4/DS3 bundle?

360 Owners, do not be ashamed to purchase a PS3 just to play this game. If there's any PS3 game you shall ever want to play, it would be this one.

PS3 owners, no need to drive yourself mad with hype. Just wait for June 12th, and enjoy the gaming bliss.

As for myself. WOWOWOWOWOWOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO 14 more days!!!!!

Pfft tell me about it Big Jim. This just shows the IQ levels of people on this earth. It's obviously below 4th grade.

This is his whole quote. Read it carefully.

Phil Harrison: I haven't read the quote, but I can tell you the context in which I gave that quote. It was not uniquely about Atari; it was more about the industry as a whole.

Alone in the Dark is a beautifully crafted single-player adventure game. I don't think the industry is going to make many more of those. I just don't think consumers want to be playing games that don't have some kind of network connectivity to them, ...

What the hell's going on the in the world? Are people's lack of reading comprehension this bad? Take everything people say out of context?

Phil just thinks that people (consumers) are just wanting some type of social interactivity in their games now. Whether it's multiplayer, DLC, or whatever. If you F*ckin read his actual comment, no where does he say "SINGLE PLAYER IS DOOMED"

SLIM I also agree, it's more like a 7/10. I beat the game on Hard, and It felt like everything that they did well with the game, they screwed it up with something else. Graphically the game looks decent, but they screwed it up with the low resolution. The story could have been good if they stuck to the MGS2 style, but no they blabbered for months about how you switch to the promise hand. Then proceed to have zero surprises for the rest of the game. They also made so you can enjoy being on Nec...

I think that's what Konami basically did on MGS4 with the whole inviting media folks over for a weekend to judge the almost finished game. Take the criticisms, and finish it all up before the game's release. And so far judging by the reviews, it's paying off.

As for Haze, one thing that pointed to a big disappointment was the 1024x576 resolution. They are probably the masters of the PS2 hardware, but obviously big time noobs with the PS3.

These are the same guys that brought out Crysis. Sure the actual game was mediocre, but nobody is able to challenge them graphically. So it's only natural they're going to push the limits of the PS3 and 360 considering both are multi-processing machines.

Well when you're the head of a multi million dollar company, you have to change the way you think things about ALL consoles and not just the previous one you worked on. I think Phil has the right idea, unlike Gabe Newell from valve. It's more about trying your best to bring the best product you can make whereever you're working, and not completely close yourself off just because of the platform.

And the reason why you won't see any Sony PR or Microsoft PR praise their competitors...

I feel yah man. MGS4 is taking way too friggin long to come out. Next-gen gaming doesn't start with the PS3. It starts with Metal Gear. That's how it was for Metal Gear Solid 1 for PS1. That's how it was for MGS2 for PS2. And now MGS4 is going to show us what being a gamer is all about. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 14 more days!

I don't think Rockstar was lazy with GTA IV. I think it's just once they went multiplatform, they had two different fanbases to cater to. It would have been a lot better as a PS3 exclusive or hell, even a 360 exclusive. That way they could have just put all they're efforts into maximizing into one console.

Same here, I thought the online would keep me going for awhile too. But there's hardly anyone online and it's just too choppy to enjoy. After beating the main story line, there really just isn't anything to do with GTA IV. And I hate the fact that you have to go around shooting some stupid pidgeons to get 100%.

I would say the biggest disappointment for me was Halo 3. But I suppose anything with that sheer amount of hype couldn't live up to it.

Jesus, I thought I was the only one on this. Seriously, what's the point in the money system in this game? You cant buy any business or anything.

Same thing was said about GTA IV.

Perhaps Far Cry 2 on the PS3 might be running in a lower resolution.

I'm just theorizing. Disagree all you want folks.

lol that's pretty funny. but anybody who finds enjoyment in peeing on a logo seriously needs some therapy.

With an actual Blu-Ray player (or even HD-DVD player) people can enjoy higher def DVD's + real high def content. Best of both worlds. This is just another damn upscaling DVD player for crying out loud.

6597d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

People act as if once you buy a blu-ray player, you must absolutely throw out all of your DVD's. Did people forget a blu-ray player also upscales your old DVD's to the highest possible resolution 1080p? People should just buy a blu-ray player, keep all they're old DVDs, and just buy blu-ray's for new movies.
