What would a new gen bring to the table right now? This gen brought HD and insane graphics. People are just now getting HD tvs so the consumers are finally beginning to catch up. A new gen would bring what? 3D? Even though we currently have that in the PS3 and barely anyone even has a capable tv. There's no reason for next gen to even be thought about right now. I'm very happy with my ps3 and I'm hoping it sticks around for another 4-5 years
This seems to be the first zombie game actually done the right way. Don't get me wrong. I love the left 4 dead games but all you do is run and kill. This seems as if it actually places the survival elements Into the game. I'm really hoping for some split screen co-op with this too. Would love to stay up all night with some friends and get the shit scared out of us.
This is stupid. Xeperia Play is being advertised separate from the Playstation brand of handhelds. It's a phone, not a gaming console. I'm not gonna buy the phone to play NGP content because it can't play those games. Take a look at the graphics and you'll see that they are barely on par with the current psp. The Xeperia Play is just a phone with casual games.
The NGP is a full fledged console aimed at the hardcore market. Stop comparing the two.
My fave from final fantasy was Zidane and Garnet. Absolutely loved that ending. Her crying from being so happy and punching his chest from being so mad. Gah, I was such a softy for that moment. Waited the whole damn game for that lol

It doesn't matter if they're upcoming line-up delivers or not, people are still going to jump on the "I hate square-enix" bandwagon. No matter what Final Fantasy is NEVER going to be this open world, red dead that people seem to want it to be. Its never been that.
And Versus 13 looks "open" but I guarantee its focus is still going to be the story and not wandering around aimlessly.

Most of them we have little to no info about, especially to say they're going to release this year. Just seems like most of them won't be coming this year, especially when half of them still have working titles. 2012-2013 would be better windows for most of them it seems.

Well Nintendo has given fair warning. Kids are a lot more susceptible to this than adults. Most adults should be fine, but its the kids that Nintendo has already given fair warning about. if parents buy it anyway and this happens its their fault for not paying attention to the company's warning.
Probably not, but I'll be playing the great games, not the sales. if the NGP sales a billion or a million. Long as I got great games idc at all. I will say this. Nintendo is going to lose some of the handheld market share, thats for sure. Even if they win with the 3DS.

You have to honestly think that games will NOT be a problem for the NGP, which was the PSP's problem. With Sonys what, 20+ studios? And the massive list of 80 developers already interested and beginning to work on the system? Lack of games is the least of my worries with this thing. ...
Holy crap that was fast. Honestly I believe this. Hollywood is all about money and if you don't think these devs want money for their hard work you're crazy. They can put out the game and ink a deal with a huge hollywood producer? yeah, its gonna happen.
Hopefully the game is so great that I don't even care how bad the movie will inevitably be.
