Yeah this is expected and a good thing. Hopefully this rides on for the remainder of the year and more games start coming out.
Yeah its a pretty decent deal considering if you've got one of the older 40GB models you could probably only sell it for about $150-$200 anyways. Not that bad of a deal for gamestop.

Had a 3DS, just sold it and got a DSi XL since I've only been playing black and white. I'll get another one next year when Pokemon 3D is announced.
Vita is day one though. With all the games coming to it I simply can't not own it. Plus its already paid for.

I agree that this should be a Vita exclusive but not because of a lack of value. With millions of tracks, karts, and characters to race as, lack of value is not an issue. I just think it's a perfect IP for a handheld system and can be a system seller if pushed correctly.
Kilik, Talim, and Maxi are my faves in that order.

The Fade...I still cringe thinking about how tedious and bad that section of the game was. That area was bad enough to keep me from playing through the game twice. Other than that I loved it.

Anyways, I think people are really neglecting the fact that games are what sells a system. The Vita is going to have the games. Even launching a year after the 3DS it'll have more games that I'll personally be interested in.

I'm also shocked to see that Uncharted Golden Abyss won best handheld game. Would have expected to see Mario, Mario Kart, etc win something like that. Game must be coming along great for it to snag that one. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
