Tbh I think it's game over for them this generation. Typical Microsoft reacting late to things.
They're fucked this Gen, the damage is already done, by the time their investments into the games they're talking about pay off everyone will be talking about next gen.
Microsoft needs to draw a line under this gen. And plan for the next one. The realisation that they don't have any half decent first party games coming just came too late.
This is Microsoft in damage control mode. Tell everyone what they want to hear. They did this for years with Windows Phone/Mobile, strung people along for ages.
THIS is why I always say to gamers who chose to only have an Xbox because of fanboyism, that they need to explore the PlayStation.
Man, I am so glad I made the investment in the Pro rather than the Xbox One X. This is going to look superb.
Bad decision making from the beginning, bad communication, out of touch with their fans. That unveilling of the Xbox One, even as an Xbox fan I was like wtf was that?! They lost so many people with that unveilling and alot of fans.
Any mistake after that just compounded the initial screw up over and over. Their decision to close studios further made that initial wound bigger.
Think about this, last gen the 360 had a massive RROD issue, and still that gen...
Yeh like Halo, Forza and Gears. Cutting edge stuff.
For me this was the worst console generation for Microsoft. Even when they launched the original Xbox, yeh they had a up hill battle to establish the console, but they took chances, came out with great exclusives.
For anyone who loved the Dreamcast, it was a great console.
Agreed, I half thought it wouldn't arrive this year. So glad it is.
Spot on, and this is coming from someone who had the Original Xbox, the 360, and the Xbox one as a primary console.
No they don't need it, because they aren't fuck ups like Microsoft, who need services like that to attract people to their consoles, rather than actually work on new games.
However, I still think if Sony did do it, it will only give them yet more popularity this gen for sure. And also, their library of games is excellent compared to Xbox.
We have been wanting this elusive "Xbox will own E3 this year" for years, it hasn't happened, if anything, they've looked less and less likely to achieve that.
It wasn't boring combat at all. What it needed, in my opinion is abit more feedback gameplay and pad wise when you were striking enemies. For example in Ninja Garden you could feel when your weapon was connecting and damaging enemies. Never got that feeling with GOW. I love the games though, cannot wait for 4.
Xbox has been shite this gen, and MS is to blame.
Eff all that. I want another Power Stone.
Tbh, ports and remasters need to stop across all systems. Stop being lazy bastards and release new content.
Not falling for E3 hype this year. Last year's was absolute crap, doesn't matter which console you like.
Not hyping myself up for E3 this year. Last year the whole thing was unbelievably dull and disappointing.
It has been a great year, loved Mario and Zelda, Mario + Rabbits, Stardew Valley, Axiom Verge, Mario Kart was great too.
I don't think PS4 and Xbox One bitch about ports. This has been the port and HD Collection generation for those two consoles.
They've been idiots for a long while, they're only realising that, that being like that carries consequences. I've written them off, they never do well at E3, infact they've gotten worse each year. Last year was so embarrassing.
