Doesn't matter to me; I only used Linux a couple of times on my PS3 using a live cd, so not a full install, and it was okay, would run better on a PC I think.

When someone on your friends list comes on-line your PS3 asks your friends PS3 a question which only an offical FW3.60+ machine can answer. If the answer is wrong or missing your PS3 reports the machine to Sony.
So 3.60 machines will help find the hacked machines.

Unfortunatley the action taken against GeoHot might have annoyed some hackers they may try to hack it even if it is VERY hard and time consuming.

Well done Sony. Apparently they've totally changed the loaders, which can't have been easy to do.
Unfortunatley these people will see this as a challenge. They may find another way in.
Hopefully they'll have another press conference to boast about it (like last time), which gave Sony a lot of help in re-securing it again (I reckon).

I agree with blumatt, PS4 could just be a PS3 with more of "everything".
Dev kits wouldn't need to change much, and the devs would already know how to get the best out of it.
The cost of developing PS4 hardware would probably be much lower than what it was for the PS3 too. It would be mainly changes to the chips, the basic design could probably stay pretty much the same.

Sadly too late for some games, like MW2. Think someone on a jailbroken PS3 could still de-rank you even if you were using one of these new PS3's :(

Played today and for about an hour it was great, then it went downhill rapidly.
I did find myself playing against people who appeared to be from China or Japan based on their PSN / Clan names. So that's not good. I'm in the UK.
Do we need to re-select the region after the patch is installed? Can't remember if KZ3 has a "region to play with" option or not.
