No. After all this upset and worry PSN "should" end up been one of the most secure networks around.

Still haven't played it, thought it might be too much of a button basher, but might risk it :)
That's due to a cost cutting thing. In the past there was proper dev kits, totally different beasts from the retail models.
But now, the hardware is the same (I believe), just different FW.
Once you run CFW you unlocked lots of stuff normal user shouldn't have access to.
This is why CFW is so dangerous for Sony. It's not just game piracy, it's the whole network.
Hence the shutdown.
I'd rather they take their time. Rebuilding a system/network doesn't sound like something you should rush.
Look most people (I think), I'm not mad at Sony for this. I know where the blame lies.
You could play it off-line, like I have been, it's still a lot of fun :)
Seems like the rumour was true then, that PSN security was mostly on the client side :(
Hope they're not rushing this rebuild too much, that's how mistakes happen.
Would be a total catastrophe if they missed something and made it worse than before.
I'm happy to wait a few more days if the end result is a fully working, and completely secure, PSN :)

It's gonna be murder trying to sync your trophies when it comes back online. I've got loads of Portal 2 trophies to sync.
That's one thing Sony got right, no auto-sync of trophies.
Imagine if it auto-sync'd, and millions of frustrated PSN users all log back in.... it'd probably crash it, so slow it right down :-(
Hope Sony can sort this soon because it's starting to look ominous.

Wouldn't be surprised if MS was behind Anon and Geohotz. They're loosing momentum in the console war, and Sony has overtaken them in sales, so are resorting to dirty tactics.

What a coincidence.... MS try to boost their user base on Live, Sony have to switch off PSN.

I remember Xbox Live going down one Xmas, people seem to have forgotten about that and are hailing live as perfect. MS have difficulties too from time to time.
Sony will sort PSN soon :)
