Sony owners would have loved this on PS4. Don't waste a bubble denying the fact. Just the same as there are many Sony exclusives which would have been welcomed on Xbox.
There isn't much fanfare right now because MS buying the franchise was an obvious move. Xbox owners will get very excited once the time gets closer to a next-gen Gears launch.

They should have just shoved that last pos in the bin. Can't believe I kept playing right until the end. Hopefully the next game will be a true next-gen but fun experience.
Although ME1 felt like an open (ish) game, it was also a chore. I'm the kind of gamer who will search every last rock on every last planet. So I've no idea of the number of hours I poured into it. ME2 had a better balance. ME3 did feel like an attempt to grab hold of non-rpg gamers, but it was by no means crap.
I hope they keep the great balance of 2 but with the cinematics of 3. Tall order.

If MS wants Kinect to become a standard with XB1 then it is forcing nothing on you. MS is not holding a gun to your head making you buy XB1. As the consumer you have the option to buy XB1 or not, knowing Kinect is always going to be a part of the system. Which gives the sensible guy in the street peace of mind that the investment they make early on, will not be wasted if the device is dropped at a later date.

Great deal. PS3 is old news and will get less and less support. If you want to pay top dollar for a PS4 then go ahead, or use the $100 to get an XB1. Its just bringing them into line with each other for the consumer.
I reckon MS are using this as a tester, for a big price drop to see how sales are affected.

I've never said Gears was dead. Why would I? The game mechanic is first class and horde mode is the best multiplayer I've played all last gen.

Come off it man. Its easy to look back now and compare Gears with games such as Uncharted.
But when Gears 1 exploded onto cinema screens, the trailer was totally mindblowing. Gears started the 'next-gen' at the time graphics revolution. Don't even bother denying it.
