PC pushing 4k?
Have you the cost of the hardware you would need to only just get acceptable frame rates?
To get it to the realm of decent gaming, you have to go with multiple gpu's. Have a look in this months custom pc magazine. Holy crap, there's no way I'm dropping £600+ to get just over 35fps minimum at 4k in crysis 3.

That's what I read from an Xbox360 mag a few years back. It was meant to be a pc game, but when MS wanted it to go to 360, the system constraints didn't allow the open world aspect of the game. That's what I read.

I totally agree with you about those big differences. But to try and suggest the XBO and PS4 are similar is not the case. The cpu might be pretty close but that's where the similarities end. Everything else is highly customised. And that doesn't even take into account the huge difference in the way the hardware is being used via software. Let me stop there ;-...

Turn 10 are making a big deal of cloud use with this game. Although Sony has some form of cloud, its not at the same level as MS just yet.

My Nvidia 560ti gets its ass pumped when I hammer on the tessellation levels in heaven benchmark.
I cannot deny this looks good. The frame rate looked quite smooth. But there was nothing in that video that looked very taxing for the console. It is very angular and not a huge amount of variation in the action. Now if that wider city was actually real, then I'd been blown away. Then that would be real next-gen.
Anyway, BF4 has way too much going on in the game for KZ to be really comparable.
