Looks like the opening level is Crossroads from Socom II...bringing back the old maps. Socom III had polls to vote on which maps they wanted brought back, so it looks like they are listening to ther fans. Looks impressive. I have a PS3 and still play this game. I have more fun playing this online than Resistance, which is still great online. I was never into the single player mode too much, but am addicted to the online. Hopefully they can still make it as appealing and make improvement...

the reason I was suggesting Sony should lower the price of the PS3 was to sell more of them. Lowering the price and justifiying the price and quality of the console will help sell more PS3s. I think the online only aspect is great. I play shooters online all the time, and I think this gives the SOCOM community something to play and hold them over until the new SOCOM arrives. I'd rather be playing against actual gamers than enemy AI in games like this. Resistance had a great story mode and made me want to play it through entirely. i have my ps3 hooked up to my 720p/1080i lcd tv by hdmi cable. even though it is not at the best picture you can get (1080p), there is still a noticeable difference in the quality. it is much clearer than if you were to watch the same movie on standard dvd. like others have stated, make sure you are viewing the movie on an hdtv and through hdmi. i only have on movie on blu-ray (black hawk down) and it looks much clearer. i can only imagine how much better it i...
it was originally a launch title i think, then i know it got pushed back until jan 31, then march, then april, and now may. every 3 weeks or so i kept checking the new updated release dates on ign.com and this date changed each and every time.
I too got accepted to the BETA!! I was really looking forward to this game since it was announced as online only, and this makes up for not being accepted for the Home beta. I love online shooters (big fan of socom and resistance)Can't wait to play it all night tomorrow when I get home.
