There will be a point where the franchise will have overstayed its welcome and will stop being profitable . If the next few games don't do as well then those shareholders you speak of won't be getting a greater return in those investments ... Also there are so many new games and Ips coming full swing , this gen is now really starting to hit it's stride while CoD keeps pumping out a new game every year expecting people to constantly keep up while losing what identity it has left ....
If they really wanna even try to keep CoD alive they need to cut the yearly releases back to like 2/3 years , 15 main games in 15 years is too many .....
last konami game i bought was Castlevania Lord of Shadows , I think castlevania is like Konami's last hope if they ever decide to go back to the franchise .. but they'd just screw it up .. they should totally remake Symphony of the Night with alittle souls style combat and it'd be golden

I'm alright , i'm going into it with fresh and new eyes . except for the first trailer after it was announced as FFXV I haven't watched or read anything of related to it and it will be amazing
I probably won't be on board for VR till someone comes out with a VR only MMORPG , full interacting with other players
@edit probably won't happen to 2nd or 3rd gen VR though ... some SwordArtOnline type gaming
As a person who never played Dark Souls 1 & 2 but platinumed Demons Souls twice I was giddy to see Garl Vinland and Maiden Astraea back in DS3 dlc as it's still one of the most memorable fights in Demons Souls (that lead up music yo) . Idk yall since I never played DS1&2 .. has there been a more terrifying boss then the False King Allant ... I mean that guy ripped your soul levels right out off you and his speed
this is the first N system that Im actually excited for since well.. the snes .. I really just wanna start playing Nintendo games again and Ips that I haven't touched in decades and TLoZ:BotW looks nice ,, can't wait to play it while watching Netflix in the background on my ps4 ... and I'm hopeful for a new Metroid game now that there's sorta a standardized controller again ..sorta ;P

Make a new Castlevania with some Souls style combat , one elaborate interconnected castle with secrets galore !!! Imagine a souls style game with high jumps /double jumps ( like equipable relics/Necklace) , creature transformations ( Bat , Wolf , Mist ) . Symphony of the Night had a great amount and variety of weapons .... just saying .. my two cents
Super easy but to a person who's never played a souls game I understand how it can be hard . I played Demons souls and BB but never played DS1&2 but I agree the DS3 feels more of a successor to demons souls and it's verything I could've wanted in a game .. can't wait for dlc in like 10 days
Well the ps4 slim didn't come out till the 15th .... just saying .... xb had a 2 week advantage
Bought this a while back and only got to play alittle bit of it before my ps4 fried from a lightning storm like 5 months ago . Finally bought a new Slim and can finally play this .. can't wait . It'll give me something to play before Dark Souls 3 DLC and FF15 come out
Ya it's the same with TLoZ- Wind Waker ... Thought it was too cartoony and a step back from previous zelda games but turned out to be my favorite zelda game .. FF 9 is in my top FF's .. just a fun wholesome game that doesn't take it self too seriously but still has serious context to enjoy . I liked the art direction it gave the characters unique personalities and world
I don't see a need for these mid-gen consoles personally , I think I'm just gonna get a slim tomorrow to replace my old ps4 that broke .. I'll just wait for the ps5 in the next 5 years to take a plunge into the next generation resolutions & HD technologies .
Compare it to what it was competing against... the ps2 which had a lifetime sale of 155 million consoles compared to GC's 22 million ... ya it was a flop but had a few great games like The Wind Waker , RE6, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Alone in the Dark, Twilight Princess to name a few
Who cares!!!!..... the slim will take off more then PS Vr , Pro , XBS, Scorpio over the coarse of the generation .... the truth of the matter is it'll be another 5 or so years for a mass adoption rate of 4k and for it to become a standard . I'll just wait until the next generation of consoles for them to iron out the kinks . People still think with there wallets first and foremost .

Why would I have bought a new ps4 in the past few months if I sorta new there would be a new less expensive model in the horizon .. the Slim will take off like hotcakes ... I'll be adding to the September numbers for sure
First and foremost they need to implement the materia system properly in the new battle system and do it well . In hindsight the materia system is what made ff7 great . Finding and watching your powers evolve while mix and matching for different effects was amazing ...
