I platinumed the original , pretty much played it for 2 years straight so whenever I get around to getting a ps5 it'll be the game I pick up first mainly because of pvp and to see all the mechanical changes they did . I grew up playing Jrpgs, wrpgs have never really been my thing. I've given them a shot like Skyrim which I played 500+ hrs , tried FO 3 and 4 but realize they weren't for me , pillars of eternity was good but nothing I'd wright home about . Developers like CDPR ,SE, Altus ,Bandia-Namco and Fromsoft pretty much fulfill my rpg needs .

FF7r is equivalent to the Evangelion Re:build series , it's a retelling that slowly starts to deviate from the original story to become it's own thing without diminishing said original series while further expanding the world, story and lore and mixing in a few "what If " scenerios .... lol . I've never been able to adjust to a controller that doesn't have symmetrical analog sticks . I just don't see how people like having their left thumb always that high up on the controller . I think it's also a big reason I've stuck with PS for over 20 years ... hate to say it even with it's great vast collection of games the controller has always been a big factor why I've stuck with sony . Most modern controllers usually copy the xbox design which I don't get...

It has a distinct art direction that I knew was FF when I saw it , I feel good when I see this because I see them trying to make a good game instead of a fancy tech demo . Just take what they’ve learned the past 10 or so years and just focus on making a good game this time around. 13-15 were nice looking but weren’t good games that took forever to release . From what we saw from combat the animations looked really good , I don’t need to see a characters pores to be impressed
Most games in the next 2 years will still be crossgen with some enhancements for next gen versions . We'll still have some exclusives here and there that take advantage of next gen but the install base is still too high to ignore ps4/pc/xbo players especially the ones who have no intention to upgrade right away , ps4/xbo are still some capable machines . Fromsoft are more about game design then visual fidelity but gotta say I love their art styles
Elden Ring is still supposed to come out on current gen hardware though

I think if Sony was able to get some of Konami's Ips it would be a total win . I could easily think of some studios that Sony could hire to make them like Kojima with obviously MGS ,Silent Hill and FromSoft I could see making an awesome Castlevania game. Maybe a new Suikodan or Zone of the Enders . Well those are the only IPS I care for from Konami
