I am not saying that all arguments about racism are lame, I'm just saying that some are lame, i.e., the bad ones.
My girlfriend must never know of this, EVER.
This article is very poorly written based on multiple fallacies. The racism and sexism argument are not made in relation to movies. Whether movies are more or less more racist or sexist is inconsequential; the question is whether these videogames are racist or sexist at all.
When people argue that RE5 isn't racist, they always turn to the "buh but, it takes place in Africa!" argument. These people miss the entire point. These people justify their argument, saying it...
Strange how you are more interested on trying to insult the people in this thread than being part of the revelry...and at this point only one person made any reference to the actual size. Loosen up, be a sixteen year old for a minute.
+2
No Sonic CD, what a shame.
because they don't think that whites shooting blacks is racist, then these people clearly did not read the article. Try again people and actually READ what the article says. Otherwise you are putting yourselves out there to look like idiots.
Now I see why you have so many bubbles. You speak concisely and intelligently. +bubbles
And although you say you do not separate by color you are doing just that.
if we could move around like ninjas...
I'd love to sneak behind people with my katana, throw smoke bombs, kick people in their faces, etc.
I appreciate it...and to be honest, I don't know what the remedy is. We want to come to a point where sensitivity isn't an issue, but clearly we are not there yet.
The real question is, is being sensitive to the issue patching the problem, or only exacerbating it?
A lot of latinos (esp. of Caribbean descent) refer to themselves as spanish, if only when speaking in english.
As in, it doesn't give the proper sensitivity to the plight of that part of the world. It isn't sensitive to the stereotypes of barbarism and such that plague those of African descent. One might say that it's different to show a white man as a zombie than a black man as a zombie, because those of European descent do not have the same animal stigma that a black man might have, thereby not emphasizing said stereotype.
Therefore it may not be a problem of racism, which connotes in...
Clearly as soon as slavery was abolished, they skies opened up, and gumdrops rained from the sky. Clearly there was no civil rights movement, no segregation, no apartheid, no gentrification, no genocide, no cultural demonization...sure, people couldn't be a little on edge because of those things...
Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought it was a top seller last week.
But perhaps it's to get some of you guys to finally get up off the couch and groom yourselves (you know who you are)
and I stopped reading. Really, if you are that adverse to the things in this list, then you're probably not reading about gaming on some website.
If you look hard enough you can find at least a ten percent discount at any electronics retailer.
"Flower and fl0w creator Jenova Chen recently described his latest project as 'haiku gaming' but we think it may actually be closer to Zen gaming."
Must not know where haiku comes from.
If you read my first comment, he was quoting me, telling me not to read arguments on racism. He either is telling me to not read ANY arguments on racism, which is killing a gnat with a grenade launcher, since I have problems with SPECIFIC arguments, or he is telling me not to read those SPECIFIC arguments, which I cannot do. I would not know whether an argument is good until I read it.
