Difference is that irrational always maintained that it was demo and a work in progress. Gearbox on the other hand was showing amazing footage of a game and saying that it was actual gameplay. We all understand that things get taken and cut from games for one reason or another, what we dont expect is for a dev to tell us what they are showing is what the game actually is but then release a game that is not even in the ballpark of what was shown before hand.
To scare her? or comfort you?
Looking forward to this game, i recently bought tales of grace f too. I need JRPG to pick up the slack that FF13 left.
Its not only n4g. Many people in the gaming communities i'm in are kinda just meh about it. But certainly there will be a bunch of people that buy it at launch, on the other hand i dont think it's gonna rake in 1 billion dollars in only 15 days this time.
No not really. No one game or franchise will decide a generation. MS can keep buying timed DLC content and sony will keep rolling out fresh new and innovative IP's.
Doesnt matter really. Its naughty Dog so its gonna be epic! I'm tempted to go into media blackout for this game.
If that was true why did they continue to show misleading videos of the game? Pretty sure they knew before the the game went gold that the current footage they had shown wasnt representative of the game. They knew long before hand the game wasn't what was shown in the video and had a chance to inform their potential customers but didnt.
But they said it was actual gameplay. I'm glad i waited before i decided. Had i bought this game i'd be pissed
Obviously this author isnt talking about the PS3 unless said author hasn't been looking at the PS3's release schedule.
Can you define what all the right moves are? Been outta the loop the last couple days. Also is this this pre-E3 conference or the actual conference?
COD sells about 10, 11 mill on PS. If MS is willing to pay over half a BILLION dollars for ONE game then by all means let them.
DLC didnt really help them that much. Nobody i know really cared that they had to a wait a month to get the new maps. Whatever MS is paying for that early DLC is way too much.
I think it'll have to do more with the fact that it's new hardware than the devs. Killzone and battlefield have set the bar pretty high already
I thought the playstation division has been making a profit, but because they are apart of the tv divsion (electronics?) it doesn't seem like it makes a profit.
Edit: Nevermind i read the title wrong.
June 14th the GOTY king will arrive though
"We know that people like these functions, such as Netflix, and use them a lot. And especially for those people who are not the person who purchased these consoles – like family members – they tend to use these non-game functions. So it’s not like we are no longer going to do these functions, but especially for the announcement event, we wanted to show how the game experiences will change with PS4, because that’s the biggest focus for us. Once that communication [to the public] is achiev...
As soon as we get Sword Art Online quality stuff, i'm there.
I'll bite. Find me these facts where the ratio is 10:1 on COD and that more people play multi on XBL vs PSN........
Shared experiences is were the industry is heading. If they are gonna do it, i can at least hope that they learn how to do co-op properly. Right now devs are trying to shoe horn co-op xperiences onto games that should be single player and it ends up not working. If they start to build co-op xperiences from the ground up it might make for a better overall game.
Truth be told, i never even notice the delay of the DLC, i'm usually too busy playing a different. game. I also find that i'm playing COD less and less with each iteration. That being said I do understand that COD is a huge franchise, but timed exclusive DLC makes very little difference in someone's purchasing decision because most people buy a system for more than 1 game.
