@artemidorus upscalled 8k. They've confirmed 4k 120, why is 8k upscalling not possible? My bloody TV has an upscaller. 8ktvs will also have upscale tech. Why is it so out there to suggest the ps5 will. Especially when Sony make 8k TVs. All I've done is read what been stated, watched what's been shown and come to a logical conclusion.

@ razzer. Everyones doubting the ps5 will even hit 4k with raytracing. All I said is the ps5 will do this. I never specified at launch. All I was saying with the 5 year thing is, is there will be a 2.2 in that timeframe which is when 8ktvs will be mainstream. I think the console will do it out of the box and Sony will future proof it with HDMI ports that support the spec before the 2.2 update.

natively we will see 4k 120 wi raytracing on AAA games upscale to 8k. This is my prediction, slew me if I'm wrong. However I believe we will get it native with indie titles..
I initially predicted the frames would be intelligently recreated like in tvs, turns out it's more powerful than I even figured it would be.

Except it was made by ex naughty dog devs who have openly said they are taking what they learned at naughty dog into the development of this game. That alone makes it the most interesting entry to the series.

So I was right for a 2019 announcement, I was right for 2020 launch, I was right saying it would have 8k output, I was right saying it would have 120fps and I was right that it will have raytracing but I'm wrong that it will do all together. I've bookmarked this page, we'll return to it when its undeniable.
