Anyway, the core mechanics ain't bad, it just needed to either get rid of the first person bits n go full on 3rd person loot shooter or even just a great coop campaign WITH A TONNE of content then it could have actually been a quality game. Wasted potential leaves such a disappointing taste.

It could mean its coming to ps5, pc, switch, mobile...
I dont think it's something that's ever really been essential. Going forward it kinda is, to me at least.
I plan on trading my pro towards the ps5, nice to know I'll still be able to play this gens gens going forward. No doubt pretty much every game from spiderman on will be getting some sort of ps5 upgrade, it'll be nice not to have to re-buy all the end of gen games.
It's not just upscalling, it improves aliasing.

What I'm saying is no one will give a crap because of next gen, HOWEVER, the ps4 will still sell for years into next gen and the switch most likely will not be able to catch up. But like I said, no one will really care by then as we will have moved on.

Yes. When they're 2 gens behind in power, are gonna have combined sales between a hand held and the home console version and accomplish it years after anyone gives a shit then yes it diminishes the accomplishment.

In the U.S maybe, the UK has seen a rise most gens. I remember paying less than 30 for new snes games. I believe donkey Kong country was about 30 new.
Game prices rose in the uk this gen, I've bought more games this gen than last.
