Agreed, sound effects are unmatched. I really appreciate games in which much effort has been put into making the weapons sound powerful and the warzone caotic. Just try Battlefield 1943 (arcade), use the rifle and feel the BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Though I don't agree with his preferences, I can appreciate his standpoint. Pixels don't make the gfx, it's the effects, the amount of details, the lighting, etc. I still think COD4 is a beautiful game, even after seeing and playing games which are considered better looking by the gaming populace.

Modern Warfare 2 won't look better than UC2 in most people's eyes (it's subjective you know), but don't bring up ridiculous arguments.
The gfx will look great, especially considering the game runs at 60 frames per second. Makes you wonder what the game had looked like if it ran at 30 fps, like UC2, KZ2 or GeoW2.

Two very different games, one goes for overthetop-violence, making the whole thing almost a parody, while the other goes for ultra-realism and depict events which are actually possible in real life (though exaggerated).
I really admire IW for this move, very brave of them. Shows that there are devs out there besides the ICO-team who are willing to push the media-format forward beyond mere entertainment.
