Thats most likely a problem with your Windows install than anything else. Try running a registry cleaner and some kind of spyware removal.

This MIGHT have been believable if they didn't make IE8 look drastically more secure. I have a hard time believing that IE8 is that far ahead of Firefox in security, just based on my actual usage. I get more spyware and malware on my system without question using IE8. Its not even a question. I wonder what kind of criteria they used on the test, they can easily inflate numbers like that doing a biased study.

Leave it to Microsoft to be pushing something like this.

I want to know why I should still be forced to look at ads after I PAY for something. Its either one or the other, but not both. Pretty ridiculous. They do the same with Live, charge users for the service yet put ads all over Live. Thats funny, because PSN is both free and doesn't force me to look at ads. Ironic.

@ 1.13: That really doesn't mean anything, patents aren't always the end of the world. Sony could probably put cross game chat on PSN if they wanted.

Hell, Apple owns the patents for both multitouch hardware and all the multitouch gestures, but that didn't stop Palm or Microsoft from using multitouch in the Pre or Zune HD without paying royalties to Apple.

No...just no.

So I guess that since Bethesda bought out id, we would say that Bethesda developed Rage? No, id is the team that is developing the game, not Bethesda, despite the fact that they are now technically a part of Bethesda.

Chair Ent. developed this game, end of story. Epic bought them out, thats it.

It looks more like an old ass OS, more like NeXTStep OS than OSX. If this is the real interface, multitasking is going to suck on this thing. It will be just like pre-Windows 95 OS's for multitasking, which was terrible because there was no organizing principle for the multiple apps/windows. Just a bunch of windows open with no interface to organize them.

Seems pretty fake though. Probably a fake done on Ubuntu.

Newsflash Hideous Kojima, Epic Games DID NOT develop this game. The studio that developed this game was formerly called Chair Entertainment.

Epic had nothing to do with this game. All they did was buy out Chair Entertainment and made them a small subsidiary of Epic. But the original Epic team has nothing to do with the creation of this game. All they did was give Chair Ent. the Unreal Engine.

Everybody seems to think Epic made the game...which is wrong. Jesus ev...

Hasn't Rage been in development long before Fallout 3 came out? Lol give me a break, its in a wasteland that doesn't make it a copy. Lol so I guess every game with a wasteland will be a Fallout 3 clone?? I guarantee the gameplay will be way different from Fallout 3 and probably a lot better.

id is the last company out there that would ever "copy" anyone. id built the entire FPS genre themselves, so you could say Bethesda copied id 0_o

Not to mention id ...

No, people disagree because you're gamer guy with more videogames than friends. Has nothing to do with respect.

What a "gamer guy with more videogames than friends" ad.

no but seriously, they want to campaign against an offensive stereotype, so then resort to using another stereotype to offend a different group? Thats gay.

I guess two wrongs do make it right if you're gay.

Sorry but a lot of CEOs, like Googles Eric Schmidt or Steve Jobs for example, have their salaries at $1. Google and Apple are easily much bigger corporations than Activision.

"While CEO of Google in 2008, Eric E. Schmidt earned a total compensation of $508,764, with a base salary of just $1 and other compensation of $508,763. He did not receive any cash, stock, or options."

So this Kotick guy has a lot of nerve. Screw him.

I hate how these idiots will defend higher prices due to higher development costs. They act like they don't turn a profit or something unless they raise the price 10 dollars. No, they just don't make AS MUCH of a profit. God forbid these CEO scumbags only take home 20 million this year instead of 30 million. Total jerks.

Raising game prices are totally not necessary, otherwise PC games would also be 60 dollars. PC games have always had the highest technology, yet have alwa...

I think Spore proved a little something that you don't want to piss off your entire consumer base. MW2 will = most pirated game of 09

And its a shame, because IW is a great developer and doesn't deserve to get caught under their arrogant CEOs idiocy.

Well Dragon Quest IX wasn't developed by an in-house Squeenix studio, so that doesn't count. Only credit Square gets for DQ9 is funding Level 5 to make the game, and publishing it, and thats it. Square in-house teams are the ones who've been sucking recently.

Well to be fair, games themselves still cost 60 bucks. And 60 bucks actually isn't that much, SNES games and N64 games both used to cost 60 bucks brand new. People seem to forget that. I know it was because of the cartridges, but still.

The thing I don't get it is how are 360/PS3 games 60 bucks yet the same game on PC will cost 50. Doesn't make sense.

But yea screw this guy!! How do these clowns become CEOs who are obviously very much out of touch with the indus...

Okay, so the justification is just because they offer a "better" service? Great reason to justify charging for it. Well, I think Facebook offers a much better service than Myspace does, maybe Facebook should start charging too just because you're getting a "premium" social network.

wtf? Plus XBL has ads all over the place. If I'm paying for something, I better not have to see ads as well. Either have it ad-supported, or subscription based, but not both.

Yea I HIGHLY doubt anyone besides the employees working on this project have seen the thing. Then again, if it is getting close to an actual announcement, then they would have to start manufacturing them which would then make it more likely for someone to get a glimpse at it.

But I don't think Apple would actually show it to anyone. Apple handles new product development like top secret CIA meetings lol. Employees working on new products have said they go into top secret labs w...

Oh is that so? I love how these stupid articles try to argue things as if its a matter of fact instead of opinions. Anyone who disagrees is a fanboy? No, anyone who tries to act as if its fact is the fanboy.

MGS has a great story and is definitely top 3, but to say its number 1 is purely opinion. In my opinion Xenogears is the greatest video game story ever told BY FAR. But I'm not going to try and force it down your throat as if its fact, because its only an opinion.

This SMS flaw is not just limited to iPhone ya know...seems like everyone wants to make a fuss about this flaw over the iPhone but not mention it applies to everyone else as well. This SMS flaw applies to practically all the big mobile operating systems. Android, Windows Mobile, etc.

Guess when you're the lust of an entire industry, everyones going to try and poke holes in you.

Those Mac flaws are a different story. I can't stand how Apple proclaims Macs don't sta...
