I agree this gen is the worst so far, but not really for the reasons in this article. Mainly it can be boiled down to over saturation of the same crap over and over and gaming now being too commercialized/mainstream. Where ever there's money, leave it to greedy corporate executives to ruin things. Creativity and originality is gone now. It's all about making "blockbuster" games now, instead of actually making amazing games.

I take it you didn't bother to read the article. PC games do not require the same licensing fees that consoles do, hence the reason why they have traditionally been cheaper on PC. The publishers, or actually just Activision are charging 60 dollars, not because they have to pay any additional licensing fees, but simply because they know they can get away with it. You're a straight dumb ass if you think this is helping the developers in any way.

Nintendo claims this, yet I bet you they will mimic apples app store distribution model with the new 3DS. Actually i guarantee you that Nintendo will have their own App store on the new DS that will be almost identical to Apples model. A game should be graded on the entirety of the game, end of story. I don't see how anyone could give a final score to a game until finishing it. Especially when they're big time reviewers that influence a lot of peoples decisions (unfortunately).
I find it a little weird that there's so many good citizens here and not very many "hackers." Its hilarious how anti-piracy you guys are. You think that if Sony left this in, that the PS3 would automatically collapse and we'd see no more good games.

Sometimes its hard to justify shelling out 50 bucks for a Wii game, a game that has last-gen graphics, when there are games for 10 dollars more on PS360 that are technically much more advanced and modern. The game on Wii really has to be amazing and standout to justify purchasing it. Thats why Nintendo games always sell, because they usually are fantastic and standout from the pack of shovelware. I think if maybe devs brought the price down to 40 dollars it would help sales, Wii technology...
