This game looks like its running at 15 fps. I keep asking myself how can this game be fun when it moves so slow?

Steam, like Windows, brought stability to this industry. Until something better comes along, whenever that is. This is as good as it gets. I have no complaints about them.
I love the whole idea of Far Cry as a Western. The Far Cry formula lends itself well to different environments and scenarios.
I can't think of another series where the mechanics of the game can be modified for any theme or genre.

This is Nintendo we are talking about. They'll find a way to make something good into something middling.
If they don't have third party support they will shoot themselves in the foot. The console cannot be carried by Nintendo and Indie games alone. As a personal note, the switch has yet to prove its usefulness aside from being the next Nintendo machine. I own all the systems and my PS4 gets the lion's share of my gaming time. The Switch has really nothing that inspires me to stop playing Surge, or Horizon or even older games like Witcher.

VR was DOA while it was being conceived. The tech needs about 25 years before it something to get excited about.
Play it both ways. Issue is more the Switch does really have the games I wanna play on a regular basis. But that's a different issue altogether.

respectfully, I have to disagree with your rating. this game kept me entertained for hours. Sadly I had to go to bed. It does what Dark Souls does with its own twist and most importantly makes you fee powerful from the get go, even if you may not be. I love the setting, it's absolutely refreshing and I love how you fight. It has an energy all its own.

The issue with all these games boils down to two things. Excitement and fun. These lack in even games like Forza Horizon 3.
Graphics are fine, but for an action racer, one needs excitement and fun.

Normally I would say yes, however they did release a demo that is 100% accurate as to what the rest of the game would be like. So if there are poor sales perhaps it is slow in gaining momentum and/or folks didn't play the demo.
I would like to see the ratio of demo players that actually turned to sales. We don't have those figures.
I will also add that Prey like its spiritual inspiration is hard on many levels.

Thank God this series needed to be buried a long time ago. It just doesn't work.
Now they can give this series to other developers to make a game that makes sense for today's sensibilities.
I was so tired of wasting my money game after game and not being satisfied. I believed in the character and the idea of the game. But these games are as thrilling as getting a root canal.
Game was great. Just needed more of what we loved. They definitely have the foundation to keep world building. I dont see any reason why it should be put in hiatus.
