This is the first real game for the PS3 that I am actually excited about.
... give it up and go BR.
One movie I really miss now that my HD-DVD player is gone is Transformers. I would LOVE to see it on BR ...... SOON
.. are an obvious fanboy.
Someday you should lower yourself to actually try a 360 or more than a few minutes in the mall.
And for all those fanboy retards yelling AGAIN how much better PSN is than XBL ........ sorry boys ....... I use both ....... and guess what .... like it or not, and as fun as PSN is for online ... well ...
XBL > PSN (by a long shot)
More than worth the HUGE AMOUNT of $4 a month I pay.
I have experienced lag on XBL over the last two years a total of about, ummm, twice. And each time was for about 4 seconds. However, I did sit last night and try ...
The price they were asking for these movies was NUTS. I picked up about 4 UMD movies when I found them in a bin at a price of 2 for $10
Before that I just ripped my DVD's to my PSP
With BR pretty much the Winner, you will see more PS3 sales since it is the best price Blu-Ray player out there.
Myself and 3 other buds at work that I play on XBL with all the time have said since the start ... if Blu-Ray wins, we will buy a PS3. We have all bought PS3's within the last 3 days to use as a BR player. We still use our 360 as a game machine and for XBL, but we are glad to now have PS3 consoles even if RIGHT NOW we are only using it for movies.
Whil...
Glad I also have a PSP.
I thought I seen that you could hook your PS3 to your PSP via USB and have the BR movie dumped to your PSP hard-drive so you could now watch it anywhere.
My PS3 and PSP is really my movie gear. I still play games much more on my 360.
Still waiting for LBP (please DO NOT be September) and KZ2.
And I really enjoyed it. But it is very apparant HD-DVD is done. I hope I can sell it cheap. I got it for $100 anyway.
Personally, I didn't care if HD-DVD or BR won, I just wanted a winner. But with it being BR, I had the last excuse I needed to site a PS3 next to my 360.
Both the PS3 and the 360 are awsome.
Each machine has ups an down and each machine does a thing or two better than the other. I have both ... and TRUST ME ... my 360 will NEVER be anywhere near a pawn shop.
You just keep telling yourself that, it must make you feel better. Now get down off your soap-box before you hurt yourself.
I had a 40GB model for about a day and it was CRAZY QUIET, but my 80GB version (while not loud) is still able to be heard. Much more than the 40GB model.
Oh well, the extra features of the 80GB is worth the extra bit of noise I guess.
And as much as I love my XBOX 360, the PS3 does do a better job of upscalling DVD's. But, I find my 360 much better for Divx support.
This news is a PIPE-DREAM at best.
Sooooo many people are lumping the death of HD-DVD to the Death of the 360. Well guess what, that is NOT THE CASE.
The 360 is a killer console with killer games and is going NOWHERE anytime soon.
So to all the trolls and fanboys, stop pounding your chests and giving each other pats on the back and come back to reality.
Grow up, Grow up, Grow up,
My 360 is not going ANYWHERE ...
Forget what the fanboy retards say .. the 360 is a KILLER MACHINE and I LOVE the games and XBL. But I have wanted a BR-Player for a while and this was the reason I needed to buy a PS3. If this Warner thing had not happened I would still be holding off a while.
I am happy to now have BOTH consoles. Makes me feel all warm inside
LOL
I put my HD-DVD add on up for sale today and have a guy coming to buy it. From there I went and bought the 80GB PS3. I do notice it is louder than the 40GB model, but hey .... who cares since the 40GB was stupid quiet.
I had about 5 HD-DVD's I got from Christmas that LUCKY for me, I didn't open yet so FutureShop gave me store credit and I bought some blu-ray movies.
I always said .... THE SECOND I KNOW BR is the winner, a PS3 will be bought. So now my PS3 sits ne...
LAST PLACE my 360 will be going is a pawn shop.
Admit it or not ... 360 has some KILLER KILLER games on it. And even with a $60 price tag, XBL is well worth it for the online function it gives over PSN.
I look forward to putting a PS3 next to my 360 tommorow. I was just waiting to see who would come out on top in the HD war. Now that BR is pretty much in the bag in regards to winning, a PS3 for me is a no brainer.
Now, my HD-DVD drive ... well mayb...
I returned my Christmas PS3 since I still was not sure if it was what I wanted. Well, with this little news blast, I will be heading out tommorow to grab another one.
XBOX 360 with HD-DVD add on ( I will get movies cheap no dout)
and
PS3 for Blu-Ray (and KZ2 and LBP not to long from now)
Cool .... I WIN
They have some Panasonic or Philips (can't remember) BR player and they have it listed at $999
I asked the guy working there if this was right. He said yes and scanned it and up it came ... $999. "WHAT !!!"
I said they were nuts and would never sell one at that price. Now, not sure if he was full of it or not, but he said they sold one. I need to find they person who paid $999 for this player and try to sell them some swamp land in Florida for 5 million...
I am getting so sick of this $hit it is not even funny anymore.
The new 360 hardware is ROCK SOLID.
Maybe I should keep talking about the 2 PS2's I went through with crappy lazers. But why would I ... it is OLD NEWS. Maybe the hardcore Sony droids should start playing more and pi$$ing and moaning about a machine they hate a little less.
But the Sony fans and 360 bad news postings and 360 fan boys with Sony bad news postings is getting ...
...... "R E A L L Y -- F V C K E N -- O L D" ......
It's about Fvcken time. But, I will not get to hyped up yet ... sometime in 2008 could be 11 months from now. That would SUCK !!
I thought this was going to big the big deal with FW 2.0 and it never came.
PSN will be so much better with ingame XMB function. I hope they encorporate the same multiple chat function like XBL does. That little charm of a feature is hard to do without once you are use to it.
