I am a 360 owner and have a Pre-Ordered PS3 and was always ANIT-MS ... then with much kicking and screaming, I tried an original XBOX and XBL ..... well ... made me a beliver "REAL FAST". A believer enough to retire my 3rd PS2 and wait in line all night to get my XBOX 360 on release (and have had ZERO ISSUES with my 360)

I have 6 guitars in total and have been playing for over 19 years ..... that is why this game got my attention.
OF COURSE it is not like the real thing .... but that does not make it any less fun.
I have the $$$ for my PS3, but you know what ... not to sure now. Worse comes to worse I may sell off my $50 pre-order.
I am on my 3rd PS2 as well......... pisses me off.

Some are less ( $49.99 ) and the original release stuff can be had at Walmart new for $35

I love my MS 360, and Sony has been really pissing me off latley, but my 360 will look great on my Sony 60" SXRD (new 2006 model has 1080p in and out)
If you have never seen one, check one out at a Sony store .... They are killer.
I have not impressed with the refresh rate on flate screen LCD or Plasma but the SXRD 2006 model has a 4ms delay.
NO PICTURE BREAKUP during fast motion (ie sports)
And half the price of this plasma.

The HL stuff is fantastic and really a leading if FPS games.
The online is also very well put together.
This is one FPS that does not get stail as far as I am concerned
BOTH RENTALS
The way I so things is as follows:
Let's say I know a game is coming out for my console but I am not 100% I want it.
STEP 1:
Call BB and reserve the copy on the release date.
STEP 2:
Rent it at BB for $10 Cdn
STEP 3:
Play game for two weeks to see if I like it. (must be two weeks, you will see why soon)
STEP 4:
If I "DO NOT" like it, return and all I am out is my $10 ...

If I cannot return a game when it sucks, then I should at least be able to trade it on something else (even taking the hit/loss on what I paid) But I also use renting as a avenue to see if a game is worth my $$$ or not.
To not allow renting of games is just fk'n dirty. That is reason enough for me to flip the bird to the console involved and go elsewhere.
Renting is the only saving grace we gamers have ...

It's OK, as a rental.
I have never played F.E.A.R and look very forward to it if/when it comes to the 360. Also the possibility of HL2 with the add-ons (rumour maybe ... I hope not)
When I first saw the ingame screens (still in development) I made the mistake MANY OF US DO and judged the game on that and dismissed it. I didn't mind the gameplay I saw but graphics were very lack lustered and PS2 like, but NOW that we see stuff has been rendered in full blow detail ... it looks good .... very good.
It may be mindless bashing, but hey, we all need a game like that from time to time to let off some steam.
