I was unsure what console to buy this gen but after a slew of brilliant trailers from Microsoft (Gears 1 announcement, both Gears 2 trailers and Halo 3 Believe) their impressive marketing won me over.
Disappointingly short article as I would have suggested games like Far Cry map creator or when Halo brought Forge mode to the masses.
I'm still perplexed as to how someone in Nintendo figured Mario dropping the S bomb went well and then letting it roll all the way to retail.
I would say Patcher overstretched it by saying abandoned but they certainly don't focus on it. Regardless of piracy console based games suffer from poor sales on PC.
This question was probably asked because they know it sparks conflict between the 3 groups of fans and through that they know it will be a big news story. Its not news its just poking at an argument that will never die
Playstation started with way more exclusives because it had phenominal sales on the PS1 and PS2 whereas Microsoft had to strong arm their way into the market a year after the PS2 released.
Some of their biggest franchises most notably Gran Turismo had sold 20m copies in 2 games before Microsoft decided to join the likes on Sega, Sony and Nintendo

No they released all the targeted figures at the same time its just Lost Planet 3 got delayed. Lost Planet 2 sold 1.5m in 2 and a half years so its got a chance.

Capcom don't have the nerve to cut content then release it day one. Prime example being From Ashes dlc in Mass Effect.
Any one else think that when Capcom announced sales targets they were overstretching themselves big time.

Valve as a brand does not resonate with casuals which is cutting out a large chunk of market. So no I do not think Microsoft or Nintendo will get overtaken by a first time hardware manufacturer.
