At the end of the day, gaming journalism isn't political journalism. Leaking government documents is different from leaking game news. Kotaku can't complain that they have been blacklisted because they did something bad in the eyes of the publisher. This industry should work together, not against.

There's no doubt about that. Software sales have been a beast on PS4, and the market for PS4-gamers tend to prefer a greater variety of games including action third person. There's no winner in this deal. Square got their money but probably hurt the tomb raider franchise and the trust they built with playstation fans, and microsoft got their exclusive but it didn't do anything significant for their console that you'd expect of a major-named third-party AAA exclusive
Makes the most sense for them. Fifa just kills it here in the UK, and assumedly everywhere in Europe. PES reviewed higher but it will never catch up with EA while fifa games have that title. Although if it was me i'd have waited until pes 17 to avoid pissing people off further
Despite the fact they flat out said holiday 2016 in both PGW and E3 and they stated they've been working on it since killzone 3 which was like 2011
Totally agree, I mean Q1 alone will see like 5 exclusives, at minimum, in addition to a few more multiplats.

No thanks square, sequels to popular franchises that even have homes outside of gaming should never be exclusive, and I don't wanna reward you with my money when you say "buy this spinoff or old tomb raider" instead, spin a bunch of marketing mumbo jumbo and wait for weeks to tell fans the truth

For an unsupported peripheral, yes it is a bad price. $100 seems reasonable, i'd even question value in that, but im sure it'll eventually drop 50 bucks long term
Yeah I get that, and its fine if the smaller teams do release on one console at a time, but it seems like every indie almost has to make a timed exclusive deal with MS or Sony
Great work from both teams, I just wish every fudging indie game didn't have to come with a timed exclusivity. I mean, I think Guacamelee: STCE is the only indie game that hasnt exclusivley released on ps4/xbone.
Anyway, I'm most excited for No Mans Sky. Looks amazing.
The four games were free with the hardware bundles I believe. Super star wars is on ps store. I don't think the other three are yet
