what of my answer implies that? there is a reason i used the word possibility and didn't say: "it was tencent"
but i guess nuance is not a console war veteran's strong point.

all so caught up in your little war that you forget Tencent would even be a possibility, how cute

the reason why i hate digital is because in 20 years when the servers go down, you can't play single player games anymore because shitty fucking companies want you to login to some arbitrary service to pad the numbers.

When a company like GoG does better than a titan like Sony, you know how terrible the state of gaming is.

play on pc and you get exactly that.

Why do vets have to teach new people? Sure it's nice if they do, but the got no obligation whatsoever. The fucking entitlement here, because someone played more they need to teach you? what about trying to learn the game yourself or look up a guide on youtube

Wii U failed and guess what they made afterwards.
I honestly think it makes sense, sony is not in the handheld space so there's more room for them to succeed there.
If they got the device + the games to make it succeed is another question though.

so now sony is the analysts? We also seen a number of what was it, like 250 million spend on concord or whatever that number was by "analysts", that's now also true?

The point i was trying to make wasn't that analysts might or might not know sales numbers, its about companies releasing sales numbers of another company, especially one they are in direct competition with. For one it would just be weird to be publishing that data and secondly I wouldn't b...

why would they publicize that about another company's game? also they only do it when it favours them. Didn't see no sales numbers for Concord

when will people realize cod and battlefield are 2 very different games. I never really was that into BF except when we used to lan, but games like Painkiller, CoD and counter strike were right up my alley. The cod players that were looking for a battlefield experience probably would have jumped ship already.

the only response someone can give to that kinda nonsense

no, people didn't complain about Helldivers cause you had to login, but because they tried to scam the customers by making it unplayable for them after 2 months in some countries. I think he was referring to some of their sp games that you had to login every time you wanted to play and the lil guy is just a bit upset that not everyone worships sony without any questions asked.

if it makes you have to login to some arbitrary service to play an offline single player game, you definitely should.

@slate if you look at the history of the d4 patches, you know its all on the devs. They messed up so much, they released the biggest patch of all time without beta testing it or asking for community feedback, basically made the game unplayable for 2.5 months. There is hardly any customization in the game when it comes to skills because the skill tree and how they set up progression for it allows almost no freedom, the loot is boring, they had 15 different stats that all did the same thing, gol...

don't promote that shit...jesus christ man

when you make a game thats all about loot, ofc everyone is gonna try the fastest way to get all the loot, they wanna make an arpg now thats not for arpg players? A lot of those influencers have actually very nuanced takes, the people you mean aren't influencers, they're the twitter and reddit crowd.

if MS owns the ip they cant just take all the work they had and repurpose it. Even when a game is cancelled, the company that ordered the game (ms in this case) still retains the rights to assets and any work done on it, assuming that they paid off what was in the contract when it comes to cancellation.

doesn't seem odd at all, he'd want work and that game even though it suffered some bad press with the cancellation and stuff is still something that people want to see (i think)
