Actually they're saying 1.09 PS3s = 1 Wii U. So it's not that Wii U is = to PS3 it is stating Wii U is > the ps3.
I was talking the hardcore/nintendo fan part. I know for a fact I'm not casual. Hell, I'm 16 and I dropped $120 on Portal 2 and Mortal Combat when they came out.
The controller has a freakin' camera.. they already demoed it with video chats. What makes everybody think communication is going to be lacking with this thing? Did you guys also notice the lack of a Headset?.. Cause the controller also has a microphone built in. Communication and conversations with friends should be the least of worries.
Yea, I don't see everybody's gripe with the DVD ordeal. Consoles like the 360 and PS3 have them because they sold themselves as family entertainment do-it-alls. Nintendo is the only one who's main focus is pure gaming.
Unless they specifically use Tomita's tech, then no water. Ideas are public domain. If they achieve a similar effect with their own tech, Nintendo has no worry.
They need to stay where they are with their little ipod games. I can barely keep sane seeing people play/talk about Angry Birds when I'm out. If Apple enters console gaming, I can't see them bringing anything to the table that the other people can't already do better.

I've been perfectly fine with Nintendo for the past 17 years and fine with Sony and Microsoft for the past 10. I think I'll keep my gaming habits as is. No thanks Apple. Same thing with OnLive and cloud gaming. As soon as that shit happens across all platforms, I'm out of gaming. There's no need to waste all that money on a download.

This is why I like Bethesda, they know people hate game developers taking away content for DLC, I REALLY hate it and I'm glad they aren't doing it, but hell I probably would have bought it from Bethesda anyway, at least it would be high quality and not thrown in.

Well for NPCs that do their own daily activities, you might have trouble. But that's because most game's "believable" NPCs are Motion Captured. Bethesda would be hard pressed doing that for every single NPC in the world. I think they're doing a decent job.
