I would move Jade Empire up to first place. I never played the others and Psyconauts wasn't only on Xbox, neither was Beyond Good and Evil. Also I would add KOTOR to that list. Bioware needs to get on it xD
Simply put I think it's neither. I've never seen either of them drastically or even non-drastically change a feature or add a feature because everybody wanted it.

For next gen, I would like to see the Windows 8/Xbox Live rumor to be true. Then Microsoft slowly move the Xbox console into a PC state. If Windows 8 can play 360 games, who's to say that their next gen just won't be software that you install to your computer. I would like to see Microsoft merge it's PC and Xbox gaming.
They have no correlation. That's like saying a man gunned down another man shortly after drinking a bottle of water. Is water the cause of the murder? No. You think that's silly but if the story said he was playing a violent video game before he gunned down another man, then the news would be all over it and wouldn't think twice to blame gaming.

In my opinion, Portal 2 was better than Portal. I played Portal 2 first and bought Portal, I couldn't play it. Also Assassin's Creed 2 was way better than the first. Again, I played Assassin's Creed 2 first and went back and bought the first one and I couldn't even finish it.
I know it's early, but I think it's safe to say that Skyrim will be better than Oblivion as well.
If this is true, this would make me a PC gamer for sure. The only thing keeping me from not going PC is I would be unable to play with my friends.
For the "mods" on the console, I don't see why Bethesda doesn't just review user creations and port them as DLC (free). Yes, it might take a little time, but at least it's something.
I don't even know why people are comparing. Some of Nintendo's IPs have been around decades and frankly their IPs are available to all age groups. Sony's IPs and famous characters are all almost Mature and therefore can't hold dear memories in the eyes of kids like Zelda and Mario did for us when we were younger..
