When I mentioned hype (and in the context of the actual conversation) the point being made- that you blatantly missed, wasn't that I listen to hype in regards to purchases. The point was that PS3 fanboys (note: not fans) way over hype these games. Although I shouldn't have to point this out (but it is n4g) that is my opinion. One that I'm entitled to. I respect others views, perhaps you and your kind should do the same.

I didn't say that PS3 games are bad. What I said was that they fail to meet the hype that PS3 fanboys (not fans, they actually are gamers) give these games.
I enjoy my PS3 collection, I don't need someone else to validate that for me. They are good games but for the most part, for me, very overrated. There are some that stand out. MGS4 and the Uncharted series comes to mind. But Killzone...
I totally agree with you. I can't believe I'm playing the same game because the RoN that I'm playing is a much, much better game than what is being portrayed.
I won't knock this reviewers opinion, I respect it but a system seller? Really...
I bought Resistance 3 and after several updates,install issues (hours of downloads and delete attempts for corrupt files) and then another install I finally got to play.
Two days from the point of purchase...two.
All of that for what was a very, very average game. The first hour or so was really cool. But after that, not so much. I took it back to my local ...

You didn't think that out very well did you?
The answer to that is two fold.
Here in the states MS paid for repairs, shipping and handling for broken 360's. It sucked but they handled it. I had three die on me and they were all replaced and I was given either points or a new game. Further more our warranties were extended. It sucks but things happen. When my PS2's went bad, Sony wanted over $100's to fix it.

I'm there with you on that one droid. When I saw this at E3 I was really pumped. This is a really cool feature that I can't wait to try out.
I have a 360 as well and at least for me there isn't anything about the Resistance series that 360 only gamers are missing.
Would it be cool for more people to play the game? Absolutely. But it would be just adding another game to the console as there isn't anything unique about it. If someone really wants to try it just save up and get a PS3. There are plenty of games on the console worth playing.

It's not about having "super high standards." I just don't see PS3 games as being as amazing as some would make them out to be. Again, there are exceptions but nothing that's mind bending beyond all belief. PS3 games get hyped-mainly by PS3 fanobys and N4G types who think that it walks on water. It's a console. It has great games, bad games and true gems. Just like anyother console.

Well that's you then. I play in the dark all the time with it, and I'm black, and I've never had problems with lighting.
I'm playing thru it now and it's looking like a 7-8 at the most. Resistance has always been an average but fun series and this one is no different.
Reviews are opinions but I don't get how some are giving this 9's and up. It's par for the course for a PS3 exclusive. They get hyped as the best games ever but when you actually play them you find out that they're nothing special (with exception, MGS4, Uncharted series). It's not a reason to buy a PS...
