I would personally recommend just reading them all in order of release. All of them are good some are great but my favorites are Cryptum, Evolutions, Cole Protocol and the Halo encyclopedia.
Like you Halo is my favorite series. I've been gaming since I was a kid and I'm in my mid 30's now. I have a rather extensive Halo collection (figures and the like). My son is into with me and even my wife likes it. She doesn't play but she likes the story and the cut scen...
I have all the books for the Halo universe and I strongly suggest that if you're a Halo fan that you read them. There is an excellent back story to be told and I think many of you Halo haters will be surprised if you actually gave it a chance.

First and foremeost, Fable Journey is NOT on rails. This has been discussed at length. And besides, what's wrong with being "on rails" if the game is done right and fun? I think Fable Journey looks cool so I'd take both.
Secondly, I'd rather have the "on rails" Ryse than another fps. We have plenty of those so I'll take something different.
Lastly, please define "real game." So ...
I've never heard anyone say what you're talking about. No one is like "Oh now 3D is cool." I think that's more in your head than anything else. I don't know anyone who is interested in 3D or plans on getting a 3D set. It's still something that people don't want, don't care about and that's reflected in the crappy adoption rate.
And playing the Sony victim card...again? You really need to lay off the conspiracy theories.
I'd give it a 7 personally. I didn't like it that much, I enjoyed the first one more.

This site is a guilty pleasure.
I purchase most PS3 exclusives but I find them to be ridiculously over rated. Good games but no where near as God like as PS3 "fans" claim.
