@CrimsonEngage,
The only sad thing are the people being douchebags about other people having fun-that's what sad.
And they're all better than Resistance 3.
You call that new?
Link was riding a horse LONG before ol'Drake.
The boat level? are you serious?
Cover shifting due to environmental change in a level? Yeah, that's not new either.
Stealth and combat in water? lol
All these things are all old as shit but new to UC3. The point isn't that it didn't do anything new-it's that it didn't do what it did before, it's not as good...
@zeeshan,
No you're missing the point. Those are sequels that got the "more of the same" principle right. Refine and give people what the want, what they expect from that series.
Uncharted 3 didn't do that for me so after I finished it, I traded it in. Not worth the price. I went in wanting that UC2 experience/quality and I didn't get it. I'm not mad about it though; if you love it then love it. In all cases with the exception o...
Oh buddy...
@sashimi,
That's always the lamest argument to make. It's like when you bust a kid for doing something and they start to rat on the other kids that are there.
If you want an article saying all that stuff then write one; don't talk about it, be about it. If not then leave the article as is and on topic.
@Majin-vegeta,
I laughed so freaking hard when I read your comment because that is EXACTLY what I said when I saw that headline.
If I could give you a thousand bubbles for being funny I would.
Those are two horrible examples. You're comaparing entertainment purchasing choices to complex issues with health and energy? I know what you're attempting to do, but lets have some perspective.
Take the cancer example. Smoking is bad for your health but it isn't the governments job to step in and stop you or harass you for chosing to purchase it. People have the right to be stupid, you can't save them all.
Again the example is...whatever, but...
"I'm not saying MW3 is horrible, but at the same time, people should look at the games for what they are, and not the hype/hate behind them, which is the issue at hand."
And these people have decided with their wallets and their time what it is they want to buy/play. It isn't that they don't "know any better" or any crap like that, they like what thy like so lay off of them already. It drives me crazy listening to some of you a-holes talk as if...
I didn't have that experience with those games. Infamous2, Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 are three of the most overrated games I bought this generation. UC3 is right behind them.
If ps3 is rocking your world then more power to you. This year has been let down after let down for me on the ps3 exclusive front. If it weren't for all the blurays I own and two more titles I'm holding out for, I'd trade mine in.
And yes I own a ps3 and bought those g...
@reynod,
I'd have to agree with your original comment. And even then, I wasn't thrilled with UC3. If anything I'd say that ps3 exclusives are overrated.
Yes I'm absolutely serious. Graphics are WAY overblown this generation. This blows that out of the water, that blows this out of the water. It's the same lame, crap arguments over and over. I'm playing on a 40" Sony Bravia EX70 and it looks great. Solid frame rate, cool graphics. I do wish they had better weapon sounds, especially compared to Battlefield 3.
The fact is that it's rare to find a current gen console game that looks straight up bad. Most are ...
It looks fine, stop acting like it's unplayable.
They have done a really good job of pushing their engine. Having an engine that you know well that you can really get some power out of is better than starting from scratch. This is why the best looking games tend to come out at the end of a consoles life cycle, not the start.
A bunch of drama queens on this site.
There are sooo many haters in gaming today it sucks. You're the ones that are ruining gaming, it isn't anything other than that.
Get out of here with that melodramatic crap battletorn, sheesh.
There is nothing wrong with having both in the industry-more of the same and innovation. Besides, innovating for the hell of it doesn't make it a good game.
Gamers today camplain way too damn much. Then when the games do come out that push the things you constantly bitch about not being in the industry, people don't buy them.
Or they buy the game because they think it's f#@kin fun and don't care what a bunch of dumbass fanboys think.
Gamers today suck.
What the hell does that even mean? Sony is "honouring real gamers?" You're not serious are you? Is this whole ps3 cult/clan thing a European thing?
Seriously dude, go outside.
danthebios,
What a horribly biased lie of a description for Gears. It takes a lot more than simply big guns and shooting to win.
At least the shooting mechanic in Gears works and is enjoyable. UC3 isn't even as good as 2-another overrated ps3 exclusive that I should've bought used.
That was awesome Optical_Matrix. I had completely forgotten about that!
Right on with your point, I agree.
Bubbs for you aPerson.
@Edgeofglory,
Actually the reasoning beind not having the warthog is based on science.
The tires of the warthog are made of material that doesn't exist right now-at least not in that capacity. Turn 10 said that because of that they have no accurate why of replicating how the tires would act in the real world like they could with the other cars.
They didn't "throw physics out the window" they didn't do it because of that....
