I imagine it's because he doesn't really fit the idea of "Main Hero or Villain"

He's never really been a stand out character, and instead a one off boss, or summon.

I agree, incorporating treasure hunts and the like, as a forced method of progressing the game, is tedious, and unneeded

On the other hand, I absolutely love hidden collectibles, that are completely optional.

Developers should realize, that choice is an amazing thing, and the more a user has of it, the better. Well, most of the time.

I don't think I actually implied that Sony didn't do it, nor did I imply that Sony are being victimized.

What I did state, is that this a dirty business practice from competitors, who are essentially saying to the consumers; "Don't buy now, wait for the price cut"

Do you disagree with that point? If so, then I think you need to wake up.

Also, this could relate to any object of value, in a heavily competitive market. This isn't solely applicabl...

It's always your competition who tells your customers when you're having a price cut.

It's very dirty business, even if it is true, because it's basically saying... "Don't buy now, wait for the price drop"

I suppose PSP PSN accounts don't count then?

Seriously, if you're talking about who uses the PSN, you count all active accounts, regardless of platform.

And by active, I mean regularly used.

They don't despise the PS3 at all, they just were offered enough "incentive" to work with MS for some time.

Also, they've been developing FFXIV for the PS3 for the last 5 years, so no, I doubt they're "frustrated" with that, else you know, they'd have scrapped it a long time ago.

Last Remnant disappeared because it was a brand new IP, that got bought out by MS for TE, which actually ended up hurting the game, as it was a technical mess on 360, and...

Made my pre-order yesterday, looking forward to this one indeed!

Great support from Atlus

Considering it's on PS3, PC and 360, you'd be hard pressed to find many hating it because it isn't on "their" system.

Hehe, called it yesterday. It's a fair price. It's £6 cheaper than Trine, and it looks set to be a better game, so it's all good.

Hopefully, the devs of Trine will take note, and reduce the price

I'm hoping for £7.99, but more realistically expecting £11.99

I'm getting kind of sick of this dev. He talks a lot of crap for an Indy.

Just because you're not making big hit games, and using "innovative" and niche ideas, doesn't make you a better games designer, nor does it give them the right to act like pretentious snobs.

Seriously, if you're so proud of your game, let it do the talking rather than trying to rip in to other, and arguably better, developers work.

It's also the system with the weakest library by far.

I own a Wii, but I absolutely abhor the attitude that Wii fans take, that due it being top in sales, it's somehow the best console.

Unfortunately, that's simply untrue. The PS2 and PS1 both had the library to back up their sales, the Wii, to be quite blunt, does not.

This is strange... There's only Playstation 1 titles available for DD on the PSN, yet, the PS3 can play those just fine.

So, why on earth highlight MGS, when it actually works on the console he's talking about? It reeks of looking for a point where there is none.

If Sony were offering PS2 titles, and including no BC, then it'd be a fair point. However, the true case, is that ALL PS3's can play PS1 titles, not just launch consoles.

I'm all for the reinsta...

Because they're talking about software... Not hardware.

I think I'm going to go with the indie devs and small studios that seem absolutely chuffed to be working with PSN, over some random dev that got his game refused by Sony.

Personally, I've played a lot of the interesting, unique and indie games on PSN, and I really can't see where these guys can justify their claims.

Everyday Shooter, Flow[er], PixelJunk, Critter Crunch and a plethora of other titles.

I think you're missing this though...

On the platform where there was a choice, i.e, the PS3, Infamous VASTLY outsold Prototype.

So, that would seem to imply, that to those who had a choice, Infamous was the far more popular title. Hence, being the "fan favourite"

You can't really claim a game a fan favourite, if the system it sold on had no other competition.

It isn't region free for 360, apparently.

A quick google search turned up a bunch of different forums with claims it's region locked, and will only work on NTSC consoles [US and JP]

There's no "so many PS3's" though.

There are spotty reports of PS3's dying, 3 years after launch, and when it's sold 24 million worldwide.

Now look at 360, which had them launch year, reported as high as 33%, when the system had sold less than 10 million units worldwide.

There's absolutely no justification in saying it is anywhere near as frequent, or even so much as an issue.
