They should make a mission like saving private ryan, except when Marcus and company get close to him he ends up saving the whole crew. Make him superbadd@ss. It'd be sweet if he was sporting duel Lancers and chainsawing 2 grubs during a cutscene or something when you meet up with him.
Looks better imo. The new Cole look wasn't Cole at all. Different character model, different voice, adding weapons.....I'm fine with making him a little better looking and all, they can add some tats and change his outfit, and take some edge off of his voice, but not to the point that Cole is unrecognizable from the original.
I'm guessing his best friend's name is Gamefly. I wonder if he has a real job? How many hours does he play on a given day/week/month?
It wouldn't surprise me if it went multiplat. I'd be a little disappointed because I'd like to see what an exclusive would be like. Really I just want SE to make a great rpg for a console for once this gen. All the rpgs they've put out so far have been pretty mediocre

The author hasn't been around PS3 too long. Bioshock, Bioshock 2, DMC4, Oblivion, MGS4, Bourne Conspiracy, RE5, SOCOM, are all around 5gb install and there's just as many if not more with 3-4gb installs (Far Cry 2, GTAIV, Assassin's Creed, GTA: EFLC, DA: O, Starwars: Force Unleashed, RB6: Vegas2). I think it was essential that MS pay for it. It doesn't matter if it pushed any extra 360's or not. Having GTAIV on the 360 is just one less reason to have to buy a PS3 for certain big 3rd party titles; same as having Final Fantasy, Tekken, and DMC. Imagine all those titles exclusive to the PS3, plus all Sony exclusives. The reasons to own a 360 would diminish greatly.
Dark Cloud 3 would be great. I really wish VC2 was coming to PS3. I really loved the first one. I just don't get the point of putting it on PSP
Can't say that I've had that happen to me. I went through email to my YLOD'd PS3 deactivated and didn't get hassled. They just said that they needed 3-5 business days to make sure I wasn't trying to f#ck them over.
You may not have enough money, but I'm sure you'll have plenty of time with the 5 hour single player campaign. Sounds like the Iraq mission is just tacked on too.
Hopefully the other play modes are as good as IGN makes it seem. I think I'll wait for some kinda price drop before I pick it up.

I own all of them except EoJ. agree with all the titles except maybe eye of judgement. I'd switch that for Heavenly Sword. Heavenly Sword was a great game and I really enjoyed the sixaxis controls. controlling your projectiles was so fun. It got bashed so hard just because it was short. I wish Folklore would have done full voice acting throughout the game instead of text too.

I don't worry about exclusives selling millions and millions. Sony makes good games that I like, therefore I purchase said games. Anyone that thinks if exclusives don't sell 5 mil are failures are a bunch of tools. Sony can worry about their titles selling and I'll worry about finding enough time and money to be able to play them.
No I wouldn't give it back. I've received several DVDs for free from them before because they didn't scan and never brought them back. Also I've been pretty pissed off with BB's crap customer service on several occasions lately. I used to be a big supporter of BB, but lately I'm more likely to buy elsewhere.

a bunch of blog posts isn't exactly what I'd call proof that this is a major issue especially when there's nothing besides a couple people complaining on the internet. Personally I haven't gotten one unplayable bluray from Netflix yet. I get everything on blu unless it's not available and I go through 12-20 discs a month. With Netflix, like others said, you will end up getting a damaged disc from time to time. Blu rays are not indestructible, but they are definitely durable and more scratch ...
If I had the money to collect video games. I can't say I'd go for the most rare because that sometimes just means buying crappy games. The most rare turd is still a turd. I think I'd rather go for mint condition great games, but hey if they enjoy it that's all that counts right.
Maybe I'm just burned out on FPS, but I just can't get excited about this game. Hopefully the single player campaign is solid and has some good length to it. Beating COD4 in an afternoon was a huge disappointment.
I preordered on Amazon and got the game at launch for $50 plus a $10 Amazon giftcard. So it's not that amazing of a deal. IMO there was too much hype surrounding this game. It's a good game, but not nearly as good as I had hoped.
