Anyways, I don't see anyone making a big deal about this. Simply asking whether this game won any GOTY awards or not. Usually one needs to for a GOTY edition.
^ Well at least Fable 2 actually won one, and at a major outlet too. Sure, even Sessler's co-workers publicly mocked them over at X-Play for giving it to Fable 2, but they still did it.

Come on Crab, I thought you were supposed to be one of the brighter ones of the bunch. It's exactly like giving Resistance 2 a GOTY edition. The game was fine, but it didn't win any awards, so where's the justification for a GOTY edition? It's a legit question.
Congrats all those who got in. Surprised and disappointed that I didn't get one. I've been in every other PS3 beta but Fat Princess, even the hardcore super secret phase of Killzone 2.
I don't think it even got many from 360 publications. Most GOTY awards went to GTAIV and LBP. Aside from those two games, I know IGN gave it to Fallout 3, and G4 went the facepalm route with Fable 2.
One 3rd party said that about the PS3, and several others mocked that 3rd party for it. Thom is absolutely correct about the numbers too. Chock up the rest of the difference to the 360 getting outta the gate a year earlier.

It's an interesting premise, but that gameplay looks pretty awful. I'm calling it now, the running theme among players/reviewers will be: great idea, poor execution.
Him and Kotick are fighting it out for first on my list.

Heh, yeah. Okami and Wii Sports are great examples of why you can't judge quality by sales.
Okami is one of the best games I've ever played in the 20 years I've been gaming, sold like crap. I'd rather watch grass grow than play Wii Sports, and it's the best selling game of all time.
Yeah I'd say Epic is the biggest offender. They make Gears look better than CGI sometimes, then the game comes out running standard UE3 graphics. I've noticed that with many games that run on UE3, though. I guess that engine just works well for bullshotting.

Demonoid is great for movies and stuff, but they don't do porn. I'm a member at PornBay too though, so whatever. Still sucks that PirateBay is closing. I'm nervous about using it under new ownership, even if it stays nearly identical to the old one, probably gonna avoid it.
If you can't get into Demonoid, isoHunt is a good free alternative for movies. Dunno how it fares for music, never tried.
