This will be very welcomed by many fans who aren't satisfied with their characters. Some people may have rushed creating a character back on 2004 and 2006 to test a class. Then as they liked the class decided to stick with it as a main character, but don't like their skin color, or they chose a female character and wish a male model instead.

No, there was a beta finale event that served as a thanks to fans and as a massive stress test. The GMs and Developers would control dungeon bosses and chase you down in all major cities laying the smackdown. Hundreds of players would be attacking the GMs/Devs to kill these bosses.
With Burning Crusade beta finale they attacked with all the emerald dream dragons, Lord Kazaak and Kruul, and others.

Oh freaking come on! What happened with Beta Finale World Event? I have been on the previous two betas. There is always a open beta and a beta finale world event with developers stressing the servers to the max by sending waves of mobs to capital cities, controlling bosses themselves, chasing people around and one shotting them, wrecking havoc.

An April 1 release date could mean at least a three months beta minimum. January beta? Drools.
If anything, this gives us a glimpse into Blizzard's operations overseas in preparation for Starcraft 2 and Battle.net 2.0
What makes you wonder is if Starcraft 2's release is aimed to be sooner than anticipated. It would be great to have Starcraft 2 episode one on April 1 (Starcraft anniversary)
I know it is hard to believe the zombie invasion came to an end naturally without influence from whinners. However, [us] beta testers know for a fact it ended the way it was meant to at the time it was meant to.
How? The introduction of Grand Apothecary Putress a day before the invasion ended was the key. Wrath of the Lich King beta testers already played the quests and experienced at lvl 80 (meant to be 74) the Wrathgate: The Hour of the Forsaken in-game cinematic.
I was starting to enjoy it. Sad to see it go.

I like their trend to write novels based on their MMO expansions, as well as novelizations of the previous games. She is writing a Warcraft trilogy too of which she has not said anything at all.
My hunch is a novelization of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. Warcraft: Orcs and Humans is somewhat covered by Warcraft: The Last Guardian.
