on one hand we have MS saying their 1st party will learn to match ps5's "loading screen" speeds i think it was and on the other hand we have this....which one is more plausible?

People seem to forget... Of these 3 games : U4, TLOU and TLoU2 he has had more freedom in the last one. There were people almost like keeping him in check in the previous games (Bruce, Amy) but it seems like he was totally unhinged for the TLoU2
Don't fool yourself. PS5 cant even play every ps4 game from the get-go. Do you think that if it would emulate the other consoles Cerny wouldn't even say something about it?

I'm not sure that's the thought process. I don't think gamers sit in their sofas and ponder whether they will play many exclusives or less exclusives. Those people that play sports could also realize that their game plays the same anywhere and go with the cheaper console so I don't see how your points give credence to your claims (Im not saying you're wrong, just that the points you're bringing don't support your rationale)
well, squandered is a strong word considering how they ended up using some of the technology. I think they tested internally and realized they couldnt at the time deliver on those promises. i mean, google cant now, how could SONY have done then?
OTOH, SONY has a bit of history with these technologies...They gave the world music streaming eons before Apple but look where we are now.
modded PS2 was my first, having been on pc prior mainly with SNES, and a bunch of Sega consoles... never looked back. Ps3 phat with bc , ps4, ps4pro and soon to be ps5. Life has been great.

I'm appalled. They had the show for themselves and a CGI shit storm is the best they could do? If sony were attending all they would need to do to trump this was (as their usual for the past couple e3s) show us 3-4 10-15 minute game-play demos and be done with it.
