Its CES. It has always been about tvs, cameras and the like.
they have to certify every piece of code that goes live on their servers. nothing stopping them from playing the damned thing for 100 hours before putting it live.

the thing doesn't even run at certain points. I have a base ps4 and I got tired of waiting for sections to load. it things surprisingly, running isn't one of them.

The one problem you are missing is the massive grind you have to commit to to make up a decent team via this method. Of course EA keeps the grind hideous so one looks at the alternative in better light. simple and clean.
i cant begin to imagine the noises my launch ps4 will make while playing this so ill wait until december to play the ps4 version on the ps5.
Not every game follows this, that's the problem. At the OS level, sure but you will have to test it out in-game regardless on a game by game basis. I have that setup now and fifa 20 doesn't follow this setting.

i survived this in whatever resolution/fps it was back in the day, ill do it again now. Round 2 for Valley Of Defilement, the only area i actively avoided. There was something unsettling about that gray rotting place where you couldnt even walk properly :|

That's precisely the point people a making. This is just MS banking on plausible deniability while selling another, finer impression. It's not wrong but it's misleading and MS should do better at this point.
MS as usual with their consoles. meanwhile watch ps4 sell even more ridiculous numbers and live beyond 10 years.
The way this thing continues to pop over and over you would think increasing prices is the only solution to this.
