As a fan, i would kill to have this remade. But as i understand, there are multiple parties that own this game to some degree so it may not be that simple (i know SE is a company that doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt, but...)
SE knows remasters are in vogue (FFX, X-2) and all the others so i want to think (one last time) they (the management) aren't snobs and idiots sitting on that gold cache.

They aren't riding a high profit margin. In the last quarter ending September 30th, they cleared 200 million on sales of 2.8 billiion in the division. That is a 7% return on investment. If Sony cut the price to make fans happy, it would result in a loss for the division.

When someone on the white side of things finds a vulnerability they first alert the offending party, in this case SONY, They give them enough time to patch the problem and most times only publish the vulnerability after it has been patched. Thats the etiquette white hats use and thats the standard professional procedure.

I agree with you. The non numbered games are where the insanity really went off the charts...We have had non numbered ones for far too long and SE made the mistake to consider some of them canon...then you have multiple platforms and a messed up timeline...its a mess.
