I love MK, have always played asKung Lao and and i'm black. what does that make me?
I was 6 and there was this joint near school and i used to peek inside whenever i passed by. the game that mesmerized me the most was contra, on nes. I got hooked just by watching others play and trying to make sense of it all with a 6 years old brain.
So yeah, i was hooked before i even knew how to shoot diagonally and collect power ups :)

That is full cgi. then when gameplay starts to pop up we will have the now-standard "oh my god! downgraaaaaadeeeee! that game is useless and the devs are <expletives here> !"
The other day we were dissecting the ff15 demo like it was done already...now we are "analyzing" cgi stills....
erm... that cant be the question..
I'm trying to figure what it is that the OP really wanted to ask here.
ill ask the real question: what ISN'T a waste of time?
Even "accepted" occupations such as working and studying will be perceived as waste of time by some individuals. So, wtf is being asked here REALLY?
@Roadrun01
"If you dislike it, dont play it, but dont make the mistake to think that just because you dont have the time others dont."
I don't think much players are in that age range and have that much time for one game. general statistics show and prove that. The percentage of finished (or high completion percentages) is diminishing. Don't ask for a link, google it if you must.
You will find the time? that's awesome br...
WTF..... I have other games to play, other interesting things to do with my life.
That's the reason i stopped playing DA:I and that's the reason i totally loved Transistor.
The average gamer these days has 30 years. Who is 30 and has 200 hours of their life to play JUST ONE GAME?
Why devs feel like they need to put endless content in a single game?
I didnt play UC3 because it was too much for my old fat ps3 so i would deffo buy a remaster. Didnt also play the first one (only played the demo) so im all for this. Considering how many *new* players are coming/returning home, i would think this would be a success.
it wasnt a summon in 12...though you could say Mateus could fit the bill...somehow
I find the war room boring. having to teleport, run a little, see the same animation over and over again, which costs precious time all that so i can do mundane stuff...tis' a world with magic, why cant i give orders from camps and my current location?
I also LOATHE all those go-and-fetch missions. i mean, do i really need to spend minutes if not hours looking for something *MARKED* on the map which is not readily accessible because of some stupid (but beautiful terrain) ...
@Inception
"(...)since the main character turns into a Persona rather than summon (...)"
The way i see it, they "wear" the persona, not transform into one.
@no_more_heroes
There was nothing *light* about P3. the theme of death was handled very well. If you have some background in philosophy and basic psychology, that games is absolutely the best ever (minus the random skill migration when fusing). start with reading about the one of the game's taglines, memento mori.
@Eamon
Too bad you werent able to get hooked to persona.
One thing you (maybe?) forgot to mention and its a pretty MAJOR aspect of these games is persona management/hunting/acquisition /collection.
It adds to the dungeon crawling. When you start to delve into that part of that game, its like a game inside another game. Social interactions take another meaning, dungeon crawling becomes more than just beating whatever shadow pops up next and so...
it happened to me. first playthru was ok, nice story, great mood, the little touches...gorgeous soundtrack, but didnt fully understand the function loadouts and other aspects of the battle system.
Second playthrough, boom! platinum :) btw, this is one of the easy kinda platinum
Z...??? for zodiac job system...???
Better be.
@ABizzel1
DAAAAAAMN man, you had to go and say it...now you blew it, because SONY won't make that so they don't have to pay you a dime.
Thats exactly what they were gonna do, now they will slap something quick and nonsensical.
As a general rule, to anyone complaining they have too few time in their lives i say: the problem is not the time itself, its your compartmentalization. The japanese read manga (and other stuff) while on trains. Sure america doesnt have many but people just need to slice their time better. (easier said than done, i know) but consider this:
A year ago i made a commitment to read a good book 1 hour before bed. Its a nice challenge, but what if i traded the book hours for game ...

@clone
Seriously, what you don't understand is that despite your comment is truth, we console players like to bash the other one every now and then (come now, don't pretend you're always civil about this). Any and every of your pc master race bullsh**t, implied or said plainly doesn't have a place here.
@horndog
That 50 percent more power kicking your nuts is part of the reason the ps4 is pushing roughly 30 percent more pixels than the x1
WHY IS THIS STILL AN ISSUE? the X1 has the bigger advantage because it will offload computations to the cloud, has a faster memory system and a incredible useful and easy to develop, really nifty 32mb of special memory... On top of this, it will be updated to DX12 wich will make this game run at 2k@120fps :)
Seriously tho, we know the ps4 is the stronger machine, stop pretending it isn't and the differences don't matter. It's OK to say: the ps4 version w...
@Rimeskeem
make a bundle with each of those games and you will have lots of millions extra consoles sold
...?
..wait..
oh.. they ARE doing that with GOW3:R
...hmmm...could it be??
