I haven't played my 360 all week cuz I've been watching the nba playoffs. The only game I'm playing is the mythos beta on pc cuz it reminds me of diablo and my wife likes it cuz my pc is in our room and she want's to talk to me...... *sniff* whoever wrote this article thanks for reminding me I'm a shell of my former gaming self.

that's it for charity. Lame that its not real achievments. I don't know why 360 gamers are complaining. 360voice.com does contest all the time for achievment challenges. real prizes ranging from ms points to zunes....

and you don't think they weren't? The ps3 was not moving units nearly as fast as sony had wanted to when it launched and the longer they would have stayed at their launch price the bigger the gap would have gotten between them and the competition. So they did it to stay competitive and stay in this console race, but how fast they did it showed a level of desperation a price drop in 6 months of a system launching was unheard of at the time. It does go both ways
when the ps2 dropped their price when the xbox came out it was a brilliant business move. when sony dropped the price of the ps3 3 times in it's 1st year it was being competitive. When MSFt drops it's price a measly 50 bucks after 2 years theyre in trouble???

you point out the fact that this is a dup you get 5 disagrees. I post a story last week about the PSN mishap (the 1st one) it get's disapproved in 5 minutes! Matter of fact every person that tried to post that story had it disaaproved in 5 minutes or less. Every other site has branded n4g as n4p (news 4 playstation) and I'm starting to see why. Post a pro ps3 story your a demi-god. Post a negative ps3 story your hitler....

Yes this sucks but you do not have to buy all the weapons. weapons are available to be unlocked ala cod4 with xp points, but for the rich cheeky bastard that has money to throw around and wants all the high end guns at level 1 he can buy them. this is really intresting. Yeah the customer would need a new dvd player, but if they go into walmart and see bluray/ps3 for 399.99 and one of these new dvd2 players for let's say 99.99 and both are high def avg joe could possibly go with dvd2 just by simply looking at price and knowing it's in high def
they won't have to move formats, this will be upgrading the current dvd format. Most movies will continue to be sold on dvd and blu ray for quite some time...
I agree the battle may very well be over as blu ray has now gotten a foot hold in the mindset of the consumer, but this would explain why current hd-dvd players have been rebranded as dvd players that can play hd-dvd movies. and one has to wonder if they can get high definition on dvd format. average consumer has not made the blu ray plunge yet and may not make the plunge for at least another year and that's if the U.S does not go into a recession, but if average consumer goes to a store se...
this could give the 360 it's own identity with media format. I mean we all know dvd is not going anywhere, just like cd. so why not build on the existing tech? I think we'll see where msft really wants to go with this if they include a hard drive in all 360 models in the future. But I have to wonder if they are able to get the HD-dvd experience on existing dvd this would fuel my belief that both hd-dvd and blu ray was nothing more than a way for companies to get more revenue over media fo...
I agree I think this move is more or less to recoup the losses from HD-dvd in an attempt to keep dvd viable a little while longer and in MSFT's case it's probably an attempt to justify their stance to keep dvd in the 360. This may be included in the next xbl update....who knows
I think your getting this game confused with dead rising. In any event lost planet was a decent game, and if this does go to PC/360 only that's only because ps3 owners dissed the 1st game, and in my mind I think it was dissed simply because it came out on 360 first. lets not make any mistakes. Msft went with hd-dvd cuz they used msft's hdi software on HD-dvd. Jeff Bell even said in a interview with next-gen.biz that they had been talking with Sony for a while about brining hdi to bluray in the future. You fanboys can't be that dumb to see that this is a two way victory because the biggest plus hd-dvd had over bluray was the interactive features it had via hdi. bluray uses hdi msft makes money, msft uses bluray sony makes money. i actually play 3 games online frequently in this order. COD4, Halo 3, Gears of war. I love how peoples say things like the king is dead long live cod4 etc,. cod4 is a much better game, etc,. Although I do agree COD4 is better. I wonder how many of you actually own halo 3, or even a 360 for that matter....????
Is is no different when a sports fanatics talk about their teams. That's all it is. Now one thing I don't like how gamers do it. For example I don't like to see sony fanboys on a pro 360 site or 360 fanboys on a pr ps3 site. The only reason your their is to troll and start flames. That is the ignorant part I don't agree with, but sites like n4g, gametrailers, gamepro, gamestop, etc,. They are all general sites and cater to no one platform. the idiots on this site don't actually read the stories; they just simply read the title or skim thru articles just to post comments. Every dev they spoke to said they had much respect for Rockstar and all of them were picking the game up if they didn't already have it on pre-order.
