hackers are upset simply because they've been caught. I doubt any hacker would have opted to get a 360 if they had to chance to get a ps3. they got a 360 because they don't want to pay for games. I highly doubt they'd be willing to go to a system where they have to pay for games when they can simply buy a new 360 and start the process over again. Pirate or no pirate. to go from 100 + games for 0.00 to 10 or 20 games at 59.99 usd a pop is a tough pill to swallow.

vavle is a pc developer first. they don't even make games for the 360. All valve console games are contracted out to a 3rd party dev; and if the 360 wasn't a cut and paste job valve games wouldn't be on that platform either.
honestly you would think at this stage in the game with so many good games out for the ps3, most ps3 owners couldn't care less about valve or it's games. Based on the comments here though it seems that isn't the case.
so many console gamers associate pc gaming with elitism simply because pc gamers, especially those who build their own rigs take pride in their creations. PC gaming won't die and only those who don't game on the pc continue to think so.
as long as the indy devs and games continue to be supported on PC it's not going anywhere. With the prices of the ps3 and 360 at launch the stigma of pc gaming being expensive will fade quicker and quicker.

agreed. I'm running the same GPU and having played my copy of l4d2 pc and my buddies 360 version it's a fact. No spoilers but the final stage of Dead Center you WILL experience slowdown on the 360 and a decent mid range pc quite possibly won't even stutter.
for the uninformed. Valve doesn't even work on the console versions of their games. Those versions are not only ports but the work is contracted out to 3rd party devs. Valve focuses all internal efforts on the PC and they've been doing so since half life.
