I believe it sold a Poop Load of systems, and kept Nintendo going strong. And, it uncovered a new part of the gaming market. Or at least brought it to mainstream attention.
Ya you need to have netflix already. There's a 2 week free trial I believe. I think the plan that allows instant streaming starts at $10. I swear by Netflix.
Getting mine tomorrow as well. I have it on my 360 but I'm looking forward to see it work on my PS3. Netflix is worth every penny, I've been with them for years now and love not paying Blockbuster one red cent. So ya, good on ya Netflix.
Call me old fashioned but I use a computer for browsing. Ya, the PS3 isn't my go to option but it's free. And I'm with above posters. Worry about games and gaming first, the browser should be down on the ol' priority list.
I suppose it's like playing on your own, but thats what friends are for. When I play I like to talk to friends, not some jerk I just met in game. Granted not all people blow balls, but it only takes one to ruin it.
I hope I grow to like this implementation, because 99% of the time I play its with Party chat.
Was it me or did the last one seem like they squeezed in the new control scheme in as an afterthought? I liked playing the GC version better. And by no means am I knocking the game, rather I hope/believe that it will be 10X smoother/fun this go around. Zelda is the bees knees.
Looks like an expensive month.
I don't see the 360 "owning" this holiday. The $299 PS3 Price-point speaks for itself. I'd put my money on both consoles doing well but with the PS3 coming out ahead. I would also like to see a bit more from the 360 in 2010. The PS3 is definitely the most tempting system at the MOMENT, but we shall see. We shall see.
I'm with you to a certain degree, but I wouldn't say it in such a blanket statement. I prefer to chat with my friends in a party, but if I'm on by myself I will chat with anybody.
When I play with my friends thats all we do is party chat. No offense but thats who I really want to talk to while I'm playing. I've found while most people aren't talking tools, it only takes one to ruin the whole match. Just chatting with my friends keeps it nice and pleasant.
It could be 10 Gigs and I'd still take it :)
I'm not a big fan of the PS3 browser, but it is nice to have none the less. It would be nice if MS had one but I really don't see it as a huge issue, I pretty much leave my surfing to my computer and my gaming to my console(s).
Good luck to them. I hope it comes out good.
A new Shadowman game. The 1st one had alot of things going for it, and I think they could make it GRRRRRRRREAT.
I think Sony finally got a clue as to pricing, advertising, and making their online experience click. I'd call it a very welcome progression as opposed to a comeback. They've had the games, and a slick system. Now they have a slick price and better online experience to boot.
Damn Pirates and their beady little eye.
I had my 360 for quite a while now, but damn if the $299 PS3 price, GOW collection, and GOW 3 didn't make it a requirement to pick one up now. And by now there is quite a few PS3 games available/arriving that would warrant picking up this as your 1st or 2nd current gen console. Ah life is good.
I think by now its a pretty standard expectation. Trophies to Achievements it makes games and playing them all the better. Even if you don't go balls out in attaining them it's still cool when you do. To me it's one of the most underrated aspects of the current gen. It would be weird not to have them now.
I'm assuming by "edge" they mean top spot in motion control goodness. I'm pretty sure there isn't a game out yet for either the PS3 or 360 that tops the Wii for motion control. BUT, the latter two systems could do a 1UP on the Wii if they produce a game to match their respected potential.
